Apr 23, 2019 I called this weeks ago. Not sure if I posted it on here or not but I knew this was gonna be the match given the subtle hints on the DON YouTube documentary from last month
Apr 28, 2019 Went from not caring about Cody/Dustin to it being one of my more anticipated matches after their promos. Funny how that works.
May 1, 2019 So our boy Ambrose (RIP) posted a video on his Twitter where he's breaking out of a prison and Mox shows up. Would be stupid to have him wrestle at DON, but an appearance would be sick. Have him lay out Jericho or something and have that be your next main event. Show that you can outdraw WWE with your talent at DON before out drawing them with their talent right after. I like that.
May 1, 2019 They don't want their guys associated with AEW. Starrcast isn't technically AEW, but everyone knows they kind of are. A lot of legends are going, but Vince was apparently pissed at Taker being announced because it's his creation, one of their biggest. For Angle they probably felt he's been on TV so much for a few years that he was too big to let go. So what ended up happening? Taker has a new legend's deal and Angle just got a five year producer gig. No Starrcast's for them.
May 1, 2019 Ah okay, I didn't know what it was and just had a quick google, just looked like a typical convention didn't realise it was heavily connected to AEW. Makes sense and in that way I mean I'm in no way surprised WWE did it.
May 1, 2019 Yeah. They didn't want to release Dustin Rhodes either, but HHH convinced them they could let him go.
May 9, 2019 Here's some more pettiness - Toni Storm was going to wrestle Bea Priestley at Korauken for Stardom, and lose. WWE not only didn't want her to lose, they said she couldn't face Bea because she's with AEW. This is a show for Stardom. In Japan. In a company that maybe has 5000 subscribers at best in North America and the UK combined.
May 9, 2019 With all of the petty s--- that wwe does I really want to see them fold the way wcw and ecw did
May 15, 2019 @WrestlingBros @NJPWBros I have been gone since WM (been absolutely swamped traveling for work) but I had to make sure I came before tomorrow. I'll never forget where I was in March, 2001 when I saw on WWF.com that Vince had purchased WCW. Since then we had the botched Invasion angle, the f---ing XWF, and TNA trying to be relevant for years by doing their best WCW impression and failing every time. All this to say, since that day in 2001, Vince and the WWE have pretty much been as a big of a monopoly as any company is in any industry in the U.S...tomorrow that could finally change. Tomorrow at 12pm est in Madison Square Garden (the irony), Warner Media will have their Upfronts (for those that don't know, this is the day of the year where television networks present and announce their lineup of new and returning shows that will start in the fall) and will announce that TNT is back in the professional wrestling business by giving AEW a two hour tv slot in primetime 52 weeks a year. In short- The AEW on TNT show will be revealed! We will get the name, the day of the week, and the start date. It's a big deal for long time wrestling fans, like myself, who never thought this day would come. It's especially cool for me to see the Young Bucks be apart of this, with of all the years I watched them in person at PWG. Anyone who is a wrestling fan should support this company because just as WWE is at it's lowest moment quality wise, we as fans will finally have a true alternate that will be backed by real money and given a huge platform to succeed. I'm so f---ing stoked bros!!
May 15, 2019 I haven't watched in years but it's given me the bug back. Rumours are the show's called Dynamite - which works so well with TNT being the channel.
May 15, 2019 h--- yeah man give AEW a shot! My prediction is Wednesday night's, since TNT shows NBA games Tues/Thurs, so Wednesday Night Dynamite on TNT definitely has a cool ring to it.
