    Let's talk about some albums we hyped up on release but only the biggest of hype beasts are still listening to

    In 2018:
    Die lit - play boi carti self title was one of the most over hyped projects OAT, atleast that was some what listenable. This really s----d.

    Shr3mlife - remember we were all arguing which disk was better, in reality no one listened to this more than once.

    Scorpian - within 10 minutes of release d-ck riders like @Poohdini and @dna hits were going on about how if you removed 90% of the songs it would be a classic. Then they resorted to using the stream numbers to argue how good the album was. Boring a--- album.

    Beast Mode 2 - as a big time future d-ck sucker, it breaks my heart to say this wasn't that good. Only songs I still play are red light and hate the real me. His worst project since Evol.

    In my peak stan days back when I was 14, Relapse came out. I pretty much forced my friends to come over and listen to it before going out one night. In my head I was like 'this s--- is dope,' but looking around at my friends faces, I never felt more embarrassed. I'll never listen to that album all the way through again.

    Made it thru once I think lol

    it's cuz we had the album early and part of that was it letting that get to our heads + hyping up everyone else here. But also the first time you listen to it it feels like there's so much to unpack it's overwhelming. Regardless of what you think of the album, it's very ambitious and there's A LOT going on. The problem is that upon repeat listens you start to realize that a lot of the concepts just don't really make complete sense. That and it's way too long and not all the songs are really necessary to fit the concept.

    I remember rushing to write my review for the sxn80 blog and I felt bad because koolo had already DMed punch on twitter about how we loved the album and were gonna give it a great review but my opinion of the album had started to change a bit...like I still liked it but felt like I wanted to bump it down to the 8-8.5 range range instead of the 9.5 range and we were all arguing about what to give it and I think we settled on a 9.1 or something. Oh well. That was like the third review I ever wrote lol. And punch tweeted it out so that was cool. S'all a learning experience.

    Still, I think there's a solid number of songs that work individually on the album, but as a whole it's pretty messy.

    Yooo that might be the worst album to play in a group setting. It's kinda cool that you managed to convince a group of your friends to listen to an album, I'm in college and I still don't think I've ever really done that

    Ye totally overhyped It's not terrible but some ppl were saying AOTY or better than Daytona or one of Kanye's best albums which is all laughable. BIG disappointment

    Also seeing the hoops ppl were jumping through to defend scorpion...sure half the people saw it for what it was immediately br the other half were working overtime , album is lame

    Every J. Cole album minus 2014 FHD is a snoozefest, and even that hasnt aged well

    Yea when the song talking about getting r---d by his step dad came on might have been the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been lmao.

    It is kinda crazy now that I think about it cause all my homies were over for that. Me and my two friends who make music together for fun still listen to albums together all the time after f---ing around with our own s---. We just did it for Ye and KSG
