I've always just seen him as one of the more popular mid-tier rappers that people never really proclaim to be a goat or anything. Jan 19, 2018 I've always seen this get tagged with being an "overrated classic" but Idk, nostalgia does blind me a bit whenever I relisten to this. At the time, Game did seem like a huge breathe of fresh air in a West Coast scene that needed a new figure head post-Snoop & Dre. The namedrops didn't feel that annoying yet and although we know now 50 had a huge creative imprint on the album, I'd say Game still performed quite well over some of the most glorious production I've ever listened to (Game always had a very good ear for hot beats). His career didn't pan out like it should have, but Game still got a few bangers under his belt.
