Miss this Era. Miss my adolescent youth so much. To be a young and angst-imbued teen again, man. So much good music to pick as your own real-time soundtrack.

f---ing wow. 13 years? Swear that s--- dropped a couple years ago.

This wasn’t the album that got me into hip hop. But it was the album that got me addicted to it. I listened to game so I wanted to hear everyone he was working with. Everyone in Black Wall Street all games mixtapes. Through game I found jay rock and that led me to k.dot and so many others.

Good album. Game has always been a very mediocre rapper, but the album comes together pretty well. Mostly due to 50 and Dre.

lol I was hyperbolizing on purpose cuz I think he's one of the most overrated rappers of all time. But honestly I tried listening to this album recently and it's so...boring. Game is just so uninteresting to me as a rapper.

hate it or love it is f---ing CLASSIC though and there are a few other great songs. But I dunno man, this album doesn't hold up to me at all. I'd rather listen to Doc 2. But Lil Pump > Game obviously.

What's everyone's fixation with hating Lil Pump over the hundreds of rappers who try to make the same type of music he makes but without the charisma, humor, success, and self-awareness?

I've always seen this get tagged with being an "overrated classic" but Idk, nostalgia does blind me a bit whenever I relisten to this.

At the time, Game did seem like a huge breathe of fresh air in a West Coast scene that needed a new figure head post-Snoop & Dre. The namedrops didn't feel that annoying yet and although we know now 50 had a huge creative imprint on the album, I'd say Game still performed quite well over some of the most glorious production I've ever listened to (Game always had a very good ear for hot beats). His career didn't pan out like it should have, but Game still got a few bangers under his belt.

I agree in regards to him being overrated in a way... the only reason I'm hesitant is because i genuinely wonder if he really is that rated? I've always just seen him as one of the more popular mid-tier rappers that people never really proclaim to be a goat or anything.

I'd actually almost argue his discography is similar to a diet eminem discog in terms of quality and drop off
