    My Name Is being called out for being a radio track and making Em a pop star was some of the biggest motivations and content for MMLP lol how do you not know that

    I doubt he probably still has a lot, maybe a few, but I don’t think he would keep old songs since he been putting out albums. (Or maybe he would since he is so “passionate” about music)

    Yeah man, Bizarre's verse is beyond terrible. Like every verse he ever raps. I edited out his verse on Amityville and the song sounds a lot better. I did that for a number of tracks on Devil's Night, in most cases just keeping Eminem and Proof's verses (like on Revelation, for example).
    On Amityville, the chorus is great, verse 1 is kinda average, but he absolutely kills verse 3. His verse on There They Go in 2006 was real aggressive too.

    In Angry Blonde, where Eminem writes about the origins of various songs (in 2001) he said this about the song
    ...'I wanted to make a song about Detroit, and “Amityville” was a new name I came up with for Detroit. I thought of the hook, and then I had the name. Matter of fact, we recorded “Drug Ballad” and “Amityville” the very next day. The beat was kinda slow. So I decided to put Bizarre of D12 on the song, ‘cause he sounds good over this tempo. My first verse and Bizarre’s verse weren’t really dealing with the theme at hand. I said, “Yo, we need to talk about Detroit.” So on the last verse, I kinda summed everything up. The label was actually bugging’ off of Bizarre’s verse. So I knew we did it right.'

    My name is was being played on rock stations and considered poppy when it came out. I know waaf played it. I hated that song. Almost didnt buy the cd because of it. Eminem always lies though. He said while promoting Eminem show he will retire when he can no longer top his previous album. 2 years later he released encore, so....

    Even if he is contradicting his younger self, how does that take away from a classic 10/10 album??

    Also, how old are you? I ask because it matters when assessing MMLP.

    The beats sounds outdated by today standard, the content on it sucks now, you can’t listen to him saying f--- “Christina Aguilera, etc” then go and listen some s--- like Revival with Pink on it, it’s just ruined for my enjoyment now.
