    At the end of the day, it doesn't affect me at all and people who have been forced to try to mentally align themselves with their biological sex when they identify as a different gender have a higher suicide rate than people who transition. If we figure out a way for people who identify as the opposite gender to align it with their birth and that's what they want to do, that's great. If they wish to transition, that's great too. I don't blame you for feeling that way about it because it's not something I really ever thought about until I knew someone personally who transitioned and they became a lot happier when they did. It humanized the situation for me and taught me a lot about trans issues that I didn't know.

    I agree with you there. Gender is (usually) an identifying feature, and you can easily solve that by just putting a third option that you can mark saying you choose not to say and 99% of people will still put down M or F.
