    What makes prime Eminem impressive isn't the rhyming itself, it's more about how much he can rhyme without compromising the brilliantly stringed lines that just naturally connect to each other. The reason his flow became choppy as soon as he realized he could get praise for simply rhyming intricately is that he stopped caring about everything else. Back in 1999-2002, he didn't care if you caught his rhymes or not. He'd just challenge himself with rhymes on a personal level while ensuring his music sounded good and wasn't lyrical garbage.

    This isn't impressive rhyming either... Semi-intelligent stans like to act like this is justified by the fact the rhyming is intricate, but intricate rhyme schemes with no substance aren't that challenging.
