Sep 5, 2017 fb still getting dummy plays no way 4yeo came out this year feel like it came out 18 months ago
Sep 5, 2017 no albums that come out now will last forever like albums in the 90s, we always need to be constantly fed
Sep 5, 2017 Not really, I hear those songs everywhere still. Like, every album "comes and goes" when you post on a rap forum...cuz we hav our finger on the pulse and are onto the next one every week. It's true as a culture in general too due to the streaming age but it's x100 on a forum. d---, Big Fish, and More Life mos def did not come and go lol
Sep 5, 2017 Drake lost his billboard streak, don't tell me More Life has staying power. It sold well until d--- released and then it experienced rapid decline. I listen to More Life every day, but it's not prevalent to the degree of any drake project since so far gone.
Sep 5, 2017 I hear a more life song on the radio legit every day. Going to parties, I expect at least one song from more life to be played. Still very popular.
Sep 5, 2017 lol nah I'm with you 100% though on what you mean by "come and go", gorillaz is a good example of an album that was hyped and then no one talked about anymore and you don't hear anywhere aside from the Vince song that's more a Vince song than a gorillaz song. People are just saying Drake and Kendrick came and went when that's just factually untrue unless you're talking about your own rotation. I would say Pretty Girls Like Trap Music could qualify -- as big of a star as chainz is I never hear those songs except good drank which came out last year
Sep 5, 2017 Okay let me revise my statement, for a Drake album, More Life came and went the fastest. In terms of peak vs where it's at now, it's definitely a quick fall. Also, It's a Vibe gets a lot of play in my area
