Sep 4, 2017 I think it's cause he doesn't actually layer his vocals no more, would sound instantly better if he did so
Sep 4, 2017 That's what i thought. He should definitely start layering his vocals like he used to. The difference is very noticable ever since Recovery came out. But at least on Recovery he still knew how to flow lol.
Sep 4, 2017 Depends on what you define as a drug. He was probably smoking weed and such on his early albums, but was hooked on pills in the Encore era and afterwards.
Sep 4, 2017 Amen brother. Just give me a Dre and Em executive produced album. Eminem should never release a cd without heavy involvement from Dre in my opinion. I'm glad he did it a couple times now so hopefully he got that s--- out of his system. Now go back to your roots! They're the f---ing dynamic duo. Dude said it himself. It's just like old times, the dynamic duo, two old friends, why panic, you already know who's fully capable, the two capped heroes, dial straight down the center eight-zero-zero, you can even call collect, the most feared duet, since me and Elton played career Russian Roulette, and never even see me blink or get to bustin' a sweat, people steppin' over people just to rush to the set, just to get to see an MC who breathes so freely, ease over these beat's and be so breezy, Jesus how can s--- be so easy Dude's flow was so f---ing effortless back in the day.
Sep 4, 2017 be as technical as possible like 10-20 syllables at a time, tell deep, funny stories, use really heavy, intricate metaphors and use something like a combination of the k--- for you and no favors deliveries. maybe with a couple of tastefully done skits. and sing his own hooks. and produce as much of it himself as possible. use bass bros & dre ONLY for the rest. and don’t wait until 2019 to release the videos. and not call it anything reminiscent of any of his other work. and not f---ing let paul have anything to do with the marketing
Sep 5, 2017 GET bass brothers for at least 4-6 songs+, accept their criticisms, work on 20 songs not 200. get some dre prod singles. 1 girl singing 1 hook only like stan or smt. layer vocals. no matter what ,dont listen to any advice given by either royce or mr.porter. real homage song to proof(a la difficult) and his career as a whole on the last song of the album. get 1 d-12 feature feat yelawolf and obie trice for old time sake. honestly, it probably wont be as good as mmlp/tes but it could be his third best album maybe.
Sep 5, 2017 Re-release "The Eminem Show" without "Drips" and "When The Music Stops" + bonus disc with a few unreleased songs from that era.
Sep 5, 2017 Work with a couple of producers, all working on the album - create a sound for the album vs. picking random beats, creating individual songs and then putting them together, ending up with no sound; no vision, just a mixtape type outcome aka MMLP2 Write down all the things 'expected' of him and which he tries to 'deliver' (digging the bottom of the barrel for more 'life content' etc.) with his content for the fans... then wipe his a--- with it. He's an artist not a manufacturer. If he doesn't have conviction in it, or it doesn't spur from him organically... Forget it. That's weak, compromised content. Limit feature hooks to 1-3 MAX. I think Recovery had like over half feature hooks? Ridiculous. For one of the best hook makers in rap (Role Model, Rock Bottom, k--- You, The Way I Am, Criminal... I mean, come on.) to be so lazy on that aspect recently is unforgiveable. He spends a billion years writing his verses, why not put the same love into the whole song like he used to instead of cheapening his songs with tacky phoned-in bs chasing hits. Lack of integrity plus it's another reason his albums now sound less cohesive and unique, because they're all broken-up with these bs hooks and formats. Quality control. It's really hard to make a classic when you're using max CD time... that s--- is super fkn rare and he can't defy the odds that many times. He did it with his first three but it's really unlikely he'll make another classic with 100 songs on it. Pick 12-13 AMAZING tracks which all sound as one and create a theme and a vibe. Stop trying to create "balance". Ever since TES he seems obsessed with having 'an angry song + a political song + a personal song + a hailie song + a b---- song' etc. Trying to 'give a bit of everything for everyone', again just his insecurity of trying to treat albums like products rather than art now. MMLP, his masterpiece, is that precisely as it has NO balance. It's a f---ing onslaught. And that's why it feels like a whole experience; he covers different themes but he isn't 'mr responsible' one minute, 'zany Eminem' the next, 'angry woman man' the next... He's just a blend, one character throughout - one vibe. Delete DJ Khalil & Just Blaze from his phone Ignore all trends and anything he's done before Stop focusing on himself. Imagine Picasso ONLY doing self-portraits, or every Tarantino film being about a story from his childhood or what happened to him last year. He has an immense talent yet he's wasting his previously great artistic brain - narcissistically - on himself. Like the only options are 'killing people' or 'mememe'. Seriously lazy AF. If he ignores all expectations, crafts something consistent and blends his unreal skill with exciting content and forgets: hits, Jimmy's pockets, Paul's s-----y taste, fans' s-----y taste, previous work & expectations... He more than could create his best album. I'm seriously doubtful, but, here's to hoping.
Sep 5, 2017 seriously., make it polished. make sure every hook is catchy. make sure every verse is dope (no filler). dont add features that dont add value to the album. cut any filler tracks. also, new subject matter. a hard ban on the following subjects: his mom fame drugs murder r--- misogyny motivational anthems dissing C-list celebrities
Sep 5, 2017 I could list s--- that he could do to drop a classic but it doesn't matter. He could drop an album better than his first 3 and he would still have a little population hating on it.
