Thought 4:44 was overrated and not replayable, even if it was cohesive and followed a nice concept. Too short for me too (Although I hope Ems album follows this route, MMLP2 would've been a good album had he made it 10-12 songs and removed the corny s---) Having said that 4:44 was Jays best album since American Gangster and a lot better than Blueprint 3/MCHG. Don't know what Em's album will be like, I do know that places like KTT and here will most likely trash it even if it turns out to be on par with 4:44.afghaniStan, Jerome, Groovy Tony and 2 others like this. -

Yep, because even a mediocre Em album is more interesting than a good Jay album, even if it's not better as a final product in terms of a consistent feel... Jay isn't an interesting artistic thinker, he doesn't do much on the mic or come with many amazing ideas, it's just basic s---.
And I hope it's nothing like it either, I don't wanna hear Em talk literally about his life as if being realistic and somber = great art. It's the least creative approach you can take.afghaniStan, modli and Motor City like this. -

I think it's hard to say considering we don't know what direction he's going with the album and haven't heard a single.
