Jay's new album is more introspective than whatever Immortal Technique song made you start this thread. On a more helpful note, go listen to Billy Woods or Elucid's new stuff.

Can't listen right now but thanks. And yeah, I know it's out there. That's why I made this thread trying to find some of it. d--- is an obvious one of course. Haven't heard 4:44 yet but not really a huge Hov fan. Never got around to Joey's album either because I heard meh things about it. I'll get to it though.

EDIT: Doesn't have to be from 2017 for the record... Just the last few years.

I'm sure it exists and is buried on the internet somewhere but I haven't heard it.

I'm talking about music like this...

Also, note that I understand that rappers like Young Thug have introspection and storytelling on some level in their music. It's just not nearly as elaborate and articulate as the song I posted above. I want sophisticated music that still remains grounded.

This is coming from someone who enjoys the current wave of the sound being more important than the lyrical content btw. I'm also missing new content that's like the song I posted above though.

So yeah, I'd appreciate any recommendations anyone has :emoji_raised_hands:
