Jul 10, 2017 If he layered his vocals like Dre had him doing back in the day (and Relapse) then his flow on Shady XV and Southpaw and a lot of MMLP2 would instantly sound better. It still wouldn't be perfect but I honestly believe it would sound so much better. But he went through the phase where he was using more old school sound effects in his beats and trying to 1 take every verse while being overly technical, but worst of all, his songs were over produced by people that shouldn't be producing Em in the first place. The only producer that should ever be allowed to overproduce his tracks his Dre. If Em goes back to Dre beats, Bass Brothers (unlikely), some self produced tracks with Dre engineering, recording, and mastering it, and Fred wreck (I guess) while also going back to layering vocals plus adding little song intros and adlibs, the majority of fans will be pleased with the album. I'm hopeful he does at least some of this on the new album but he always goes in completely new directions so I wouldn't be surprised if this new album is not what we're expecting at all. Either way, I think it's fair to say we're getting close to the album release. Hopefully we get official news or a single soon.
