May 2, 2017 Yeezus first because it's creative, innovative and just all around perfect And right after his best album ye releases his worst solo album TLOP which was based around much media publicity ( tweets, album release, Taylor Swift line, famous video and so on) which was the personality I didn't like. Amazing album nonetheless. And this is my ranking of his solo discography, aka The best discography of all time without a single flaw / mediocreness Yeezus My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 808s & Heartbreak Late Registration Graduation College Dropout The Life Of Pablo
May 2, 2017 Mbdtf - has it all and more 808 - flawless Graduation - great commercial rap album WTT - f--- you OP it counts because ye is on every song, unlike cruel winter Cd - nostalgia Yeezus/ LR - lr suddenly gets hate dont see why, has some of his best songs. Yeezus solid project but dont like it that much Tlop - half assed
May 2, 2017 Grad 808s CD MBDTF TLOP (i edited some songs so the one i listen to isnt the official version) Yeezus LR
May 2, 2017 LR - it's the refined, polished version of Ye's best work imo (CD) CD - just because LR exists, it can't be 1 but every song is great Graduation - highly slept on and doesn't get the credit it deserves tbh MBDTF - overrated, I wish the second half had the same energy and lyricism as the first half, but probably Ye's most important album in terms of the career revival 808s - his most cohesive and influential project, just didn't age well for me Yeezus - it's a shame because I love New Slaves, BONTL, Black Skinhead and Bound 2 and they're some of my fav Ye tracks, but the rest is so lyrically weak that it's jarring to listen to the album TLOP - a mess, lyrically and sonically
May 2, 2017 808s [repeat value, and u can play it almost everytime u get sad, cuz youre a human u get sad] YEEZUS [ just personally i like this i put it second cuz of sonically how he pushed this album, very little promo and the build up to the release was cool] Dark Fantasy [third, his magnum opus ofcourse but 2 me it isn't as impactful, not a diss to the record tho] the others i can't rank em, cuz i listened to them far too many times, and it's just that i can't get into them , the early version of kanye was so mediocre to me, i see yall ranking College Dropout among the high, but to me i don't like it as much, so i can't say that i'm a kanye fan if i cant like his first 3 albums, that's my verdict [ i might be flamed] so... 808s - 9,0 yeezus - 9,0 mbdtf - 10 dropout - 7 graduation - 6 registration - 6 (sorry) @mattagascar tell me what u think
May 2, 2017 first off, thanks for some quality discussion bud. i like your list a lot and it sits pretty closely to mine. i used to have college dropout as my least favorite kanye album actually lol because i thought it was so mediocre also but one time i was stuck in a long car ride and decided to listen to his whole discog, and i fell in love with the horns and the cadence of a young ye, maybe one day itll happen and maybe one day it wont but as long as we are here for the music it doesnt really matter
May 2, 2017 yah, my problem is i can't get into early ye, it's cool the sampled productions and all, but i just can't get into it, 2004-2007 rap is so corny to me bro i swear
May 2, 2017 by that i meant as in, i can listen do Daniel Caesar, then flip to Baby Huey then The Notations then Chief Keef, but there's some phases in an artist that i can't get into, so that's what i meant when i said that age didn't matter, cuz u can listen to whatever u want, doesn't have to be limited to the same time u are living in
