Eminem Rate Recovery after 7 years

    It had a nice consistent sound and Marshall always seems at his best when he's being introspective. Having said that, there's a couple too many love songs and a few too many corny lines especially on Not Afraid which damages its reputation.

    Recovery is his 4th best album.

    Poppy but very open and honest on many of the tracks.

    Easily his best album of the "comeback" albums.. Seduction is his best song since his comeback.. Then it has some great songs like Cold Wind Blows, No Love, Spacebound, So Bad, Cinderella Man, GTC.. I'm sure I'm missing a couple but yah I'm surprised people hate on this album.. I really enjoy it

    GTC is one of his best "post hiatus" songs. Space Bound, YNO, and So Bad are also nice.

    Couple of gems, a few enjoyable songs. Plagued by poor production, bad lines, lack of depth and some iffy vocal work. I like both Relapse and MMLP2 more (though not by much).

    Its flaws are the production and corny lyricism. But I re-spun it the other day, and I don't know why I always remember it as not having a vibe... it actually does. It's not direction-less or sound-less; its backdrop is like soft-rock-rap, for the most part, and Em's vibe is very similar throughout.

    I think it's just because a lot of the production is so bland, or blends together, that it feels more like a blur than a journey. But it's actually pretty consistent.

    So my only markings down of it, are for execution. He did have a concept and a vibe, which if done well... could have been brilliant. I'd imagine the s--- being an 8-9/10 if him and Bass Bros produced it and he spent longer on the lyrics.

    Why do people hate encode tho? maybe I'm just biased because it's my Eminem introduction album. Recovery is a solid 6.5 for me
