May 25, 2017 Some people always forget that none of the OT movies besides the original Star Wars received love by the critics back then. ESB got mixed reviews when it came out and RotJ got negative to mixed reviews. Only ANH got critical acclaim because of its mind blowing special effects and simple but effective storytelling. And the reason why the PT is so hated today (only on the internet ) is mostly because of the old fans, who couldn't accept that the sagas creator told the story "slightly" different than they thought. Keep in mind people were talking about the clone wars days since 1977. It was lowkey impossible that people wouldn't be disappointed. Then theres the phenomenon called nostalgia. People to this day say the OT is the best trilogy of all time with a mess of a movie called RotJ at the end, but at the same time say TDK trilogy shouldn't even be in the conversation because it was ruined by TDKR. (Same with Godfather trilogy lol ) Btw the reason why RotJ is such a mess of a movie is quite funny By 1983 Lucas was so sick of Star Wars that he took the story outline from 6-9 and made 1 script out of it. Thats why Boba Fett (who was supposed to be the main villain in 6) was killed off 30 mins into the movie. tltr TFA,RotS >>>RotJ LotR trilogy >>> OT and I am a star wars fan since I am five years old.
May 25, 2017 This post is filled with cringe Reason people hate 1-3 is because they s--- (I am a fan of 3 and parts of 2) 4-6 are amazing. 7 was just 4 remade and, while it was a good movie on its own, it s----d if you connect it to rest of the star wars movies.
May 25, 2017 how can a movie s--- if you are a fan of it ? The movies were just extremely divisive, except for Episode 3 which got great reviews. And 6 is def. not an amazing movie lol

May 25, 2017 I liked Jar Jar as a 5-6 year old kid. Then I rewatched Phantom Menace a few years later and I started to hate him.
May 25, 2017 I can't agree with anything close to this. You're not suppose to like Jar Jar. The other characters hate him in the movies and are visibly annoyed by his antics and his own race disowned him ffs. Also, without Jar Jar and his people we'd likely never gotten their beautiful underwater city and battle on naboo between the droids and gungans, which is awesome
