Someone needs to have Em hear these couple of sentences. It is entirely what he needs to hear. Em can go back and do the old Eminem but the problem is he isn't 100% artistically motivated to do so. We all know it. This is the best and shortest way I have seen it put lately. Em has lost it a little. Just a little though. I say this in terms of him being motivated. In general, with him not being motivated he has lost it a lot. That isn't entirely his fault. He is filthy rich, matured, has been sober, etc. What else is there to motivate him? The racial issues were terribly executed. The second half of Untouchable was the best he did with it. The rest of it displayed on Revival was poorly executed. He could've done the proof tribute songs better and some of his s--- about recovering from drugs as well. However, he still pretty much has it in him. The problem is that he isn't motivated anymore. He is comfortable. His creativity isn't natural like some artists. The natural creativity is significantly smaller than what other talent has in the industry. When he is truly motivated then he has it in him 100%.

I now agree with @Emimembase that Revival wasn’t put together as well as other albums. I hear what he’s saying. We both agree with that the album has some good songs. Where we differ is he thinks that the album as a whole is a---. I think it’s not put together perfectly but the fact most songs are of some quality, means I cannot say the album is a---.

Possibly he’s a bit disappointed in the lack of cohesiveness. But I believe in time he will look back and forgive a little and admit it’s not quite that bad.

Arose is powerful as f---.

His writing and also range of delivery, the way he expresses each emotion and the subtleties... Seriously top shelf s---.

Also the... difference in his voice. There's a lot more power in his 'broken' tones, like when he says "I can see my soul leave my body... "... there's a whole humanity in his tones which hits. Feels like what he was trying to achieve in every Recovery / MMLP2 attempt.

Hard not to notice when he is forze shouting every rhyme on the second verse instead of rapping smooth. HAY LEYY SHA DYYY like maybe he is frustated people dont give a fu- about rhymes or pay attention so he has to make it obvious as f---.. but ends up sounding like shyt musically
