It was terrible. Everyday u were hoping for an album but never got one. Nothing excited happened and life was boring.

People hated because of the accent l. But to me the accent was one of the most genius things I’ve seen in music.

This dude created his own accent to make words rhyme that didn’t f---ing rhyme. Who the f--- sits there and thinks of doing s--- like that lol.

That means it's just a regular day (hah!)
And this is the kind of s--- I think of regularly(the way he stretched the word regularly)
Have Michael Myers lookin' like a liar, swipe his powers
Replace his knife with flowers and a stack of fliers
Hit Jason Vorhees with a 40; stuck a suppository
Up his a---, and made him tell me a story
Gave Hannibal Lector a f---in' nectarine
And sat him in the f---in' fruit and vegetable section
And gave him a lecture
Walked up Elm Street with a f---in' Wiffle bat drew
Fought Freddy Krueger and Edward Scissorhands too
And came out with a little scratch, ooh
Lookin' like I got in a f---in' pillow fight with a Triple F.A.T. goose (those were the most basic words to rhyme with those guys and a horrible excuse for punchlines about them....and then the prosthetic arm crushing his hard taco

Old time sake had alot of bad word choice and pronunciation stretches as well

3am pushing em into the stinking tub
My point is it's really basic writing or stretching the pronunciation awkwardly and I dont mean the accent I mean like really f---ing reaching and making some of them sound weird. And him saying taking a pee, the stinking tub. And hannibal lecter. Giving him a nectarine and a lecture?? Lol it's very basic and elementary writing. Esp when you look at his metaphors for hannibal since then. Hit a f-- with onions and splitting a bag of funyuns....lot of line wasting and bad writing in the album

Spot on take. Em needs to link back up with the Bass Brothers. Their influence was all over this record. They were instrumental in harnessing his ability to rhyme a bunch of words and turning that talent into impactful and memorable music. I’d be really interested to hear what they could create today but I doubt it’ll ever happen.

I wouldnt say the verse I'm about to mention is 10/10 but his verse on "there they go" with obie and big herc was a breath of fresh air compared to freak show with 50, and s--- like that.

I’d group the whole gap between MMLP2 up the revival as an era. I literally stopped listening to his features during that time because it was so s-----y. I saw him live at a festival 2 months before Kamikaze dropped, which pisses me off because I know he had the songs done to perform if he wanted to

Always amazes me how this late in his career, Em is STILL coming up with wordplay for his own name
