"But oh well"? So what now? Are you going to publish it elsewhere or are you going to let months of work and go to waste? At this point I honestly doubt the article even exists at all. Funny how you've been supposedly writing this article for months, yet when it's time for the release date, you can't publish it. How convenient. Your claims of when songs were recorded are highly suspect and sometimes even flat out wrong.
Let's analyses your Encore timeline:
There are nine songs from Encore that were made in Florida (check the CD booklet), which was the tail end of the album's production: Spend Some Time (started off in Detroit), One Shot 2 Shot (this too), Rain Man, Big Weenie, Evil Deeds, a--- Like That, Mosh, Encore, and Just Lose It. Em says some of the goofier tracks from this session were made as replacement tracks for the leaked songs (the ones on the Straight from the Lab EP) and they (Big Weenie and Rain Man) were written in about 25 - 30 minutes. Mike Elizondo, one of the writers of Encore, says the Florida sessions took place in July 2004 and Em managed to write nine complete songs in just two weeks. Almost none of this matches up with your timeline. You list a--- Like That, Big Weenie, Rain Man, and Just Lose It as being recorded before the Florida sessions, which couldn't be possible. You also list Just Lose It as the sixth-to-last track recorded, despite the fact Em has gone on record stating it was the last song created for the album.
Now onto this:
Cool, I have one too.
“We were in Hawaii, and I noticed on the last album he was doing a lot of the accents. I told him, ‘I want to do this song, and I want it to be like The Hip-Hop Shop, and I want you to just spaz the f--- out.’ This was one of the first songs he did without the accents. Oh my god, he went in. I don’t think he even knows what that meant to me. He would do a song, and then we would ride around the car in Hawaii and listen to it."
“He did the ‘On Fire’ joint before the album took the turn that it took. Before that, he had songs he was working on with the accents that were going to be on Relapse 2, before it became Recovery. Everything around him was new because he had a clear mind, and he was so open to [everyone’s input]. And Em, you gotta give him credit. He was just able to step up.”
Mr. Porter literally says On Fire was made during the Hawaii sessions, which was in the summer of 2009. And if you check the production info in the CD booklet for Recovery, So Bad is listed as being recorded in Hawaii as well. Whatever your quote is (if it's even real), it's false.
I could keep going on... but you get my point. There are just way too many contradictions in your claims and record date timelines. The stuff ain't adding up. Either your sources are faulty or you're making stuff up.Last edited: Nov 14, 2019Mar 3, 2026(This ad goes away when signing up) -

People have mention a lot of good moments.
But for me I might have to say his verse on patiently waiting. The entire thing. The way he pronounced his words and delivered them to what he was saying.
