I'll give it a chance but America will have to start making original stuff one day. Too many sequels and reboots going on.

I saw the first Space Jam at the movies when I was a kid. MJ was always a complicated figure for a Knicks fan such as myself. He always killed my team but we all wanted to be him. We wanted the attire, the shoes, we wanted that jumper on the court. Space Jam was a great childhood film, had arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. The kicks in the film, til this day are some of the greatest kicks ever. Lebron, a legend in his own right but I don’t think he should have done this film. He’s not Jordan, he has his own legacy. To me, this film will always be in the shadow of the original. I guess little kids now will love it, at least that’s what they’re hoping for, but the first one is the real one. This just feels like a Hollywood cash grab.

I read that he wants to steal LeBron's followers. The story is completely dumb bs to be honest, but it's so dumb that it's kind of brilliant. At least for a wild Looney Tunes movie...

I feel you man. But to be honest the first one wasn't a really good movie either. It's great because of the 90's flavor, the music and the legendary mashup with Jordan. This new one will be great or at least interesting for the mashup with all the Warner characters. And I'm just happy like a child to see a renaissance of the Looney Tunes! And the fact they're 2D for the most part makes it even better...

I doubt kids will love it, it’s definitely more for millennial nostalgia like most reboots being pumped out rn. Kids don’t give a f--- about Lebron, if they wanted to market to kids they woulda waited a few years and done it with Lamelo Ball

If we being honest from all the Looney Tunes live action movies (are there even more than two?) Looney Tunes: Back In Action was the best

Always thought the same...Weirdly I just rewatched both a few weeks ago and I enjoyed Space Jam way more. Because of the whole vibe. Back in Action has a better portrayal of the Looney Tunes characters, but the storyline and the human actors are just pure garbage and not really enjoyable. Roger Rabbit is a masterpiece tho! I highly recommend it, if you haven't watched it yet. It has the Looney Tunes, the Disney characters and like every other cartoon character ever in it. Also it features a very cool crime noir storyline about an alcoholic detective and has a superb 80's flavor!

It's obvoiusly made for our generation who grew up with the old movie...But I think it will also succeed as a new kid's movie and introduce the Looney Tunes to younger kids who hadn't had a chance to grow up to it.

I have like negative interest in this movie. The original Space Jam is an objectively bad movie and the entire appeal is how dumb the plot/concept is and how terrible of an actor Michael Jordan is. You can't recapture that magic—it's like trying to make a sequel to The Room.

Yeah man, I get you! The original is very special and can't be reproduced. Which is why I think it's kind of cool, that they're trying something new with the Warner Universe crossover. I mean if we get scenes with Gandalf and Bugs Bunny I'm kinda sold on a whole new level tbh :D

For anybody interested in the different cameos and Easter eggs to other movies and universes, here's a pretty solid video:
