@Koolo I need to snitch on hard klyntar to my authorities as my president instructed me to, please provide me with his information so I can comply.
He's explicitly talked several times the past couple days about shooting up schools and about killing everyone around him before killing himself like a p----.
I know he doesn't have the money, intelligence, or social skills to actually purchase a gun even in America but even so I am concerned for other young people's safety. Thanks

It wasn't a decade, you could always buy semi automatic guns in australia up until 1996. And up until that time there was mass shootings in australia too. The last mass shooting was in 1996 then the government banned semi automatic weapons and bought back or confiscated the ones already out there and there hasn't been a mass shooting since.

The solution is to ban the sales of all semi automatic pistols and rifles and slowly implement a buy back scheme or confiscation. Of course there are guns already in circulation and a lot of people wouldn't hand their guns back, but it has to start somewhere. For example, if this policy started 60 years ago, there wouldn't be as many mass shootings like now. It's not an overnight fix. It's a long complicated process
but it needs to start somewhere

As for the whole hobby target shooting thing, that can still happen with extremely strict policies in place. You can still go target shooting in Australia it's just a pain in the a--- process to register and get your gun license. And if you're actually a legit gun enthusiast and not just some second amendment neckbeard, you wouldn't mind that process

Because conservatives in the U.S. have painted “gun control” as this authoritarian policy that’s aimed to take everyone’s guns away. The NRA & Fox News push this s--- constantly. That’s why something as *basic* as universal background checks can’t get passed. Conservatives spew that it’s the first step toward confiscation... it’s ridiculous.

You guys are both asking the wrong question. We shouldn’t need armed guards or armed teachers at schools. The U.S. is alone in this situation. No other developed nation has any where close to as many mass shootings as the United States. The logical thing to do would be to see what they’ve done & enact similar laws here. The NRA has Congress by the balls though.

The constitution isn’t some pedantic rulebook. It’s a very general outline open to interpretation. Tha is why we have a Supreme Court to evaluate these things. So no, Mr. Logic, our light, ineffective regulation isn’t unconstitutional. Neither would be more effective regulation.

You do realize we have ammendants for the very purpose of changing the constitution, right? Otherwise we could still own slaves or soldiers could occupy your residence.
