Dec 7, 2016 I wouldn't exactly say that but yeah, I have a DAC converter and the sounds it makes are f--- amazing. All sound is analog btw.
Dec 7, 2016 Yeah I get that. It's just you can't charge it at the same time and need the adapter(which is easy to lose or break) or specialized headphones that fit the USB C/lightning. So let's say you buy the S8 and after a year want to switch to an iphone...you'd have to either buy some usb c to lightning adapter or throw out your headphones and buy new ones. I like a "one hole" fits all
Dec 7, 2016 Fair enough, I get that. But that's anyways been an issue between Apple and others (apart from the headphone socket). There are plenty of affordable options out there though. You can get a wired lightning/USB C headphones for about $20. IMO the restriction to charge at the same time as using a wired set of headphones is the biggest drawback and something there isn't really an answer to. Although i suppose with charging speeds nowadays you can charge the phone for 5mins to get an hour or 2 of playback. But less peace of mind.
Dec 12, 2016 Honestly my headphone jack is hardly used for headphones. but I do use the headphone jack ffor auxiliary connection in the car. would hate to lose that option.
Dec 14, 2016 I'll be sticking with my Galaxy S6 for a while so idc too much. It sucks they're doing this too, but it makes sense.
