Jun 11, 2025 at 5:35 PM That 17 -> ? -> SKINS run phewwww I’m counting skins because it was mostly finished before he passed, and I think it’s just as good as 17 and ?. One of the more underrated posthumous albums for sure imo
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:37 PM I think she’ll be fine, but there’s always that inkling of fear in the back of my head that it’s the label trying to get quantity over quality and have her push out more and more. Also, good promo for the mini tour she’s doing at the end of the year, gives people more reason to go because new songs
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:43 PM Yeah that s--- was crazy. I still remember hearing train food for the first time, so eerie. I actually brought up X because I get the same creative vibe from him and Sabrina in the sense that they work best when they are putting out music quickly. They don’t overthink their music and just create. I think people also gotta keep in mind they make short songs. A lot of these songs can end up being 2 minutes or less. This style of music often works the best that way. If they regularly made songs 5 minutes long or something like that then it would be different. But people like X, Sabrina, PinkPantheress, etc. can thrive with shorter songs and albums which then take less amount of time to release
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:44 PM Katy Perry waited too long to release her next album after PRISM and her career died. Sabrina is riding the wave
Jun 11, 2025 at 5:51 PM Fax. The longer you take the more doubt creeps in, the more other people can come in with s-----y ideas and ruin it, and the more you can lose your steam and popularity. That’s even worse in this TikTok era where everyone moves on so quickly. Working on music and being in your prime is like building muscle. If you don’t use it, you can lose it. A lot of artist’s creative primes are very short and if they don’t keep working on it and capitalize on it, that’s a big waste. Artists like Kendrick Lamar are rare now where they can take long to make albums and still have them be good, where they can still be putting out good albums years into their careers. There’s a reason a lot of artists are only known for their earlier works. Sabrina is different in the sense that she is already multiple albums in and just now hitting her prime, that can actually be very good for her.
Jun 11, 2025 at 6:14 PM Already mentioned this in another post. Sabrina makes short songs too. You’re acting like Sabrina makes 6 minute songs and 20 song albums all the time. Her last album was literally called Short n Sweet. With how short her music and albums are, 1 year is not crazy at all. She could’ve released even sooner if she wanted to. And this new album only has 12 tracks by the way, same amount of tracks as the last album.
Jun 11, 2025 at 7:09 PM When you are wrong about Sabrina’s album I will be laughing. It’s gonna be a great album that sounds different enough from the last while still having what made people love her.
Jun 11, 2025 at 7:10 PM Nice of Sabrina to join in on Forum Boy Summer and drop Man’s Best Friend. Makes sense as not too long ago I discovered I’m Forum-Man. Sabrina is my best friend confirmed
Jun 11, 2025 at 10:13 PM Holy s--- I couldn’t have been more right. She literally said she didn’t try to overthink the process. Don’t worry Sabrina I get you!!!
