So again, I’ll ask you, is there any hypothetical situation where you would support sending military aid to a country? I find it ridiculous that YOU think you know what’s better for the Ukrainian people than they do. Again, they’re asking for the military aid & you think U.S./Europe should refuse to send them that aid because “people will die?” People are dying already!

By your very logic, the Allies Powers should have all surrendered to Nazi Germany once they took over Paris. Them fighting only prolonged the war & led to more people dying, right?

Good call. We are giving them to Ukraine as NATO. Do you want another country to take a brunt of Russia aggression? If we gave them directly Putin would start bombing our bases. Also NATO countries weren’t keen on us handing Ukraine those jets not so long ago. So you have to understand it’s about minimizing the risk for all and sharing it instead of singling out one country.

Worm is right. Both are bad decisions but Russia invading Ukraine is far more black-and-white than the U.S. invading Iraq. This is purely due to the actors involved. It’s far easier & morally/ethically defensible to support Ukraine in this instance vs supporting Saddam Hussein who was a genocidal dictator. Ukraine is unique in this instance though. It’s rare that one side has the very obvious moral/ethical high ground in war. A lot of times there’s no real “good guys.” And that’s not to say everyone fighting on the Ukraine side are “good guys” but you could make that case for any side that’s fought in any war ever. Everyone on the Allies side during WWII weren’t good either.
