    Shocking to me...

    Yesterday, I just downloaded Black Star. It was the first Bowie album for me actually. But I was really interested somehow. It made wonder. And now... I wake up this morning to see that he passed away. So sad.

    Funny how everybody's a David Bowie fan now. No disrespect to the guy, he was a legend in his era, but I never listened to him and I'm not gonna pretend that I did now that it's the trendy thing to do. I bet 90% of the people praising him now didn't buy his new album last week. RIP though.

    it's not unusual for people who are ill to pass away after a big milestone (birthday, event, etc)... guess this album was his way of saying goodbye

    for some reason i woke up at 3:30am today and read that he passed--i tried to go back to sleep, couldn't, so i went to the gym at 4am and listened to ziggy stardust all the way through while working out in an empty gym. i know it sounds weird, but this was one of the coolest experiences i've had in awhile. rip to a true creative genius :emoji_slight_frown:

    Really sad when I heard the news this morning. I never got a chance to dig super deep into his catalog outside of Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust & one of his greatest hits albums. I plan to though at some point this week.

    I'm not gonna pretend I'm a huge fan or anything but the man was a legend and ahead
    of his time. I was watching this interview earlier and you can tell he really cared for a better world.

    f---ing stunned. Absolutely stunned. So much about this is weird. I'm convinced he knew it was his time. Dropped a great album and left this world. The symbolism as it was with the Blackstar album and the Lazarus video was striking, but this is only punctuates it.

    RIP Bowie.

    I also haven't heard much of David Bowie's music, but that doesn't mean I'm going to accuse people I don't know of 'pretending' to be fans on the day the man dies. He was clearly a huge and important figure in music, and frankly, you sound like a f---ing moron making those vacuous assumptions. you make it very hard to like you.
