I love the crazy in your face attitude he had back then but I'd take more emotionally driven songs like GTC and Space Bound even Seduction over that stuff any day

I've always thought of it this way post hiatus Eminem could never really make a song similar to anything off his first two albums especially MMLP. Evil Twin and Brainless and some lines here and there are up to par but never will he be able to really recapture that magic. But no way in h--- could "prime" Eminem ever make a song as good as Space Bound GTC for example. People act like its so wrong to have any current Eminem song in your top 5 lmfao those two songs are definetly top 5 material.

The intro man. He sounds so confident like he was in his element.

Recovery has always been one of those amazing Eminem albums; it was a declreation at the time for Eminem's desire to change, make inspirational music and of course, dominate the pop charts. Many of the songs sound unlike the Eminem of the past and that's intentional because there's no bringing back 2000s Eminem. That drug usage is gone, what we see was a different man who knew what he wanted to do. The instrumentals are even awesome as well, I was getting bored of Dre and Eminem self-produced beats so to see him bringing outside influences is awesome.

This is a turning point in Eminem's career. Shame people had to hate on it.

Sorry I don't throughly follow your posts, I'll be sure to do so, I'd love to hear more witty sarcasm. But opinions aside mmlp is literally better in every aspect than recovery, and is probably eminems best album. Off the top of my head I cannot think of one reason to place recovery in the same stratosphere as mmlp. Impact, performance, flows, lyrics, songwriting in general.. Mmlp dominates it.

    On paper, yes.
Maybe I overplayed it when I was 16, but I just find it boring now. Nothing grabs my attention at all, and songs like Kim are incredibly unlistenable.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Recovery is one of the best albums ever made. There's songs on there that are awful and get deleted right away.
Keep in mind I haven't heard either in over a month, so I'm going off of what I remember.

I feel ya, it's a totally different type of album. I always take into account what it was like when it came out though.. It aged poorly because the world is an over sensitive a--- backwards place now imo
