I don't think dislikes should or would stop a website from growing and if it does you might be targeting the wrong crowd. I dunno how people live real life if a couple of dislikes would discourage them from joining a website. Maybe a couple people don't like it cause of what happened on SL but this site has already shown to be different so who says a dislike system would get abused? And where on SL 20 people might abuse that system it might be only 3 or 4 on this forum thus much more manageable and preventable

Jun 12, 2015 Starting to think this forum's all about numbers. I mean there's zero quality control when it comes to making threads and they strongly encourage people to make threads by basing most of the points system off that. They don't seem to care if Trent makes 3 new aliases a week cuz it counts as a new member each time. They added the repost feature which adds to the total post count even though it adds nothing to the forum. Double and triple posts are done often and I've never seen someone warned about it(on SL I don't think it was ever allowed and they had less rules), probably a few more examples I could give but you get it. I guess it's smart from a business perspective but some of this stuff (at least to me) is kinda annoying in the long run.

Jun 12, 2015 Fair enough man, it was just some observations. I know you have the forum's best interest in mind. Didn't know about number 1, disagree about number 2 in terms of thread quality(at least in the sense that any thread's allowed here), we'll agree to disagree about number 3(just wish I could understand the purpose), and I'm pretty sure double/triple posts often got deleted and/or warned on SL at least for a certain time.
Jun 12, 2015 you are wrong about quality look how many diverse fanbase we have here...look how many threads we get that goes over 300 posts....something that was IMPOSSIBLE to do on sl if it wasnt eminem related im talking music only...cant care less about OT for now...yes we had big threads on SL but im talking about the norm....here is totally different field .. they just dont compare you guys tripping on nostalgia and dont remember things straight
Jun 12, 2015 You missed my point about quality, not talking about in general, just saying people wouldn't have been allowed to make 20 threads in a day or whatever or some of the threads that cain, zep, etc made. I mean cain makes a thread about not being able to sleep, getting a raise at work, or just to say good morning...I don't think those kinda threads would be allowed on a regular basis, that was my point. Repeat threads also aren't merged like they used to be, they're left open. But alright sorry man I'll drop it, I know you know what you're doing. *edit* I do agree that people look back on RB/SL sometimes with a different view of what it was though, myself included.
Jun 12, 2015 @Kon SL had stronger personality because we allowed everything to go...when exposures was like it was...when we group up to attack certain people, we get to know each others on a personal level...it built a personality...it had character..but it was bad for the forum growth

Jun 12, 2015 I remember I was so happy when they added dislikes on SL. it was after a period where he whole like system was down for a few weeks and it felt like a breath of fresh air there were a few no name stans that got it pretty good but as far as well known posters, narsh was the only one affected and he's in favor of it here so like..
Jun 12, 2015 man i rly wish you guys would just take my word for it...i got SOOOO MANY pms from people asking me to help them about getting r---d with dislikes i think we can do it so you can dislike only 1 post per hour...but its not worth the trouble
Jun 12, 2015 Just saying, @Kon was right about the double/triple posting on SL. I often warned people and/or deleted/merged posts from people that did it. It's annoying to read and I'm pretty sure it was a rule in the beginning. Or maybe I just did that on my own
