Feb 17, 2024 Idk Mario wonder is the highest selling game of any new console. Zelda TOTK, BOTW, no kids would have an idea what to do. Odyssey, all games better than any game I’ve played on the ps5. They had the new final fantasy, only game I’m interested to try and finish. The switch was 2 million away from being the best selling console/handheld off all time. Idk why people buy the Pokémon’s up but they do, their new title games are still 54-60. Those fans will buy the switch 2 just for pokemon.
Feb 17, 2024 PS5 has big quality games. Nintendo has some cool exclusives though, and to me, they are way more interesting than Xbox now.
Feb 17, 2024 This could be good, with xbox going down maybe they want to focus on a power house console. Some people online claimed they were working on one on the side but probably not. The only thing they have no big titles coming out this year. Makes it look like somethings getting released.
Feb 17, 2024 If the game doesn’t sell and the franchise is done in 2 games, all that is a waste of money. It has been a 2 year of remaking classic games. Could argue Spider-Man is only for little kids. Idk anyone who still plays cod. I find god of war boring as h---, last of us a re4 spin off rip off. People have different taste. Still no ps5 exclusive better than Zelda BOTW, totk. By the time GTA 6 comes out, you’re going to need to buy a new upgraded ps5. That game may force me to buy the newest Sony console in 26.
Feb 17, 2024 PS seems to be running out of exclusives, but it’s been a good run (Uncharted, The Last Of Us, Spider-Man, God Of War, Final Fantasy VII, Ratchet, Days Gone, Ghost Of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, Sackboy) GTA will probably drop in April-May 2025.

Feb 17, 2024 Same. Tried overwatch on a friends pc he upgraded for like 12 years. Just hate using the keys. You can just use Bluetooth to use a controller the switch pro works. I thought about buying a gaming one just try a few out and if comfortable sitting I’d keep it. Mainly since they’re pushing people to buy digital games on sale and the physical full price.
Feb 18, 2024 The fact that allegedly Sony isn’t releasing anything from their major series until April 2025 is crazy. I feel like this could be another boring year for gaming. Hopefully I’m wrong but it looks like 2025 will be better with the release of GTA VI.

Feb 18, 2024 I could never get into Final Fantasy, I just didn’t enjoy the gameplay format as a kid. Maybe I’ll have to try it again now that I have a more refined palate as an adult. Also, I’m interested to see what new IP Naughty Dog is working on.
Feb 18, 2024 I think there are signs that physical media in gaming are going away just like in the other markets, but I don't think consoles themselves are going to die. up until this year, the Ps5 was breaking records for Sony, and the Switch is on its way to becoming the best selling video game console of all time, dethroning the Ps2 which came out almost 25 years ago. it just seems like the Xbox hardware just hasn't been as successful as their competitors. in my opinion it's not even that Xbox has been doing bad, to me they are a successful brand to, it's just that playstation & Nintendo has been doing a lot better.
Feb 18, 2024 Yeah you’re right. I think there’s still a chance consoles could die eventually but I went a bit overboard in that post yesterday. The state the industry is in right now with barely any exclusives, all the horrible live service games, games launching with so many bugs, etc. just had me in doom and gloom mode for a second there. Hopefully one of these companies step it up soon
Feb 19, 2024 trust me, I was on the doom & gloom train for nearly a year because of the Activision acquisition, especially after Microsoft closed. I was genuinely surprised to hear that pretty much right afterwards, the conversation about Xbox to continued to be not only how it was doing "bad", but somehow "worse" to the point where the rumors became they might go third party. exclusive games are increasingly expensive to develop, and we are in the middle of the generation already. by the end of 2024, the Ps5 and Series X/S will be 4 years old.
