Feb 9, 2015 http://usmagazine.com/celebrity-new...-beyonce-should-have-won-201592#ixzz3RFlTMLTo Despite Kanye West storming the stage to protest against his 2015 Grammys win, and then throwing major shade by dissing his artistry, Beck isn't holding any grudges. The "Heart Is a Drum" singer beat out Beyonce for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 8, and as he took to the stage to receive his award, West made his way up there too. While the audience initially assumed West's protest was a joke, as he smiled and returned to his seat without saying anything (unlike his 2009 VMAs protest against Taylor Swift's win), the "Only One" singer didn't mince his words during E!'s after show, declaring Beck should hand his award over to Queen Bey. "I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us," he told E! "We ain't gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should've given his award to Beyonce." Seems respect is one thing Beck isn't lacking, however. Talking to Us Weekly at the Universal Music Group afterparty, the 44-year-old singer was full of admiration for the acts he beat in the group, and wasn't even mad at West for trying to ruin his big night. "I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody," Beck said when asked how he felt about West crashing the stage. "How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?" Even though he said Beyonce should have won? "Absolutely," replied the humble musician. "I thought she was going to win. Come on, it's Beyoncé! And what about his diss that Beyonce is true artistry, and you're not? "You can't please everybody, man," he replied. "I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."
Feb 9, 2015 Vintage Kanye tantrum. Kanye's antics are getting really old and really quick. The older he gets the more childish this type of s--- seems.
Feb 9, 2015 What a p----. Who says something like that after they get ethered on national tv. This is just the kind of person Kanye is tho. He did it to himself back in '07 when he felt he didn't deserve an award and tried giving it to OutKast I believe.
Feb 9, 2015 Wow he's an a------ for thinking Beyonce deserved it over Beck. Guess we're all assholes for believing Kendrick deserved it over Macklemore, or ever having a different opinion. f--- being socially correct and just keeping your mouth shut, just say what you feel.
Feb 9, 2015 Beck is classy Kendrick deserved it more than Macklemore, and Beck deserved it more than Beyonce. Ofc he'll express his opinion, but his opinion is wrong. Have you listened to Morning Phase?
Feb 9, 2015 No. He's an a------ for publicly questioning Beck's artistry. He's an a------ for not letting Beck enjoy his moment and trying to be the center of attention once again. Beck showed some class and took the high road with his response, Kanye could learn a thing or two there.
Feb 9, 2015 Not even saying I agree with Kanye, just saying why is he being scrutinized for his opinion on something so small as a Grammy. Edit: and I actually listened to it after he won. Cool album, not my thing though. Haven't even heard Beyonce's album honestly I can't stand her music. Heard 7/11 for the first time two nights ago and thought it s----d
Feb 9, 2015 This was definitely an a------ move by Kanye. I initially thought he was joking and poking fun at himself when he went up on the stage, but then I saw the interview after the show where he was spouting off like an idiot.. LOL @ thinking he should give the award to Beyonce.
Feb 9, 2015 What do you mean something so small as a grammy? His opinion is about the grammy, what should we talk about? It's not like we're saying "f--- ye his talentless and an a------" Have you listened to Morning Phase? Beck's been making music since the early 90's, and it speaks for himself. How can Kanye compare Beck's artistry to Beyonce's? I mean her album was decent, but let's be serious here.
