I actually find Joyner quite good on certain songs, I think hes super underrated by the younger generation who will praise absolute dogshit lol

Joyner can actually rap really well, do I listen to him? No, but every time that I have heard him his rapping is always good

I can’t speak on Joyner Lucas’s 2 most recent albums, I stopped listening to him after Evolution. I stopped listening because he lost his creativity and became a lame fusion of a melodic trap rapper and a lyrical miracle with no substance. Like come on, have some personality for once. He lost what made him good. He got his dream Eminem collab and got comfortable.

I don’t like the song, sounds like modern Eminem cosplay to me. Joyner Lucas used to do unique storytelling songs. Now he just “raps good”. To me it’s not enough to rap good. There’s millions that can do that. You gotta stand out somehow. And to me Joyner just doesn’t stand out anymore. His recent little battle with Skepta was kinda cool though.
