you already know what i’m gonna say about this. can we please go back to this, when lyricism actually mattered? amazing production that speaks for itself as well. 5 stars! very strong start

flat tummy tea
never heard this one, freddie killed his verse. real talk and crazy rhymes. man nobody else flows like this guy rn. didn’t like mad’s verse as much here, but they both did great. another awesome beat as well

john muir
not usually a schoolboy fan but actually enjoy this one. he isn’t saying much i’ve not heard from 100 other rappers but the hook is great and the beat is super atmospheric. love the mixing on the outro

swivel
i didn’t really like this one. beat feels muddled, lyrics are tough to understand, production seems rushed. not a fan but i can see why it speaks to certain demographics

devil’s pie
love the vintage feel one this one. again some of it was hard to understand but i think that’s the point… a more urban revolution #9?

well this was an interesting seven minutes. i love the instrumental, song kind of reminds me of metallica’s orion. awesome cover also, i felt that, iykyk

she works out 2 much
wow i wasn’t expecting this. welcome departure from the slight monotony of the last couple tracks. super cool instrumental and i love the experimental lyrics. will definitely be listening to this again

super groove
i’m loving all these 70s/80s/90s sounds. not really much to say about the lyrics cuz they’re hard to makeout but again i guess that’s by design. really neat track though

never ft kendrick
i mean what more can you say about kendrick? multis, metaphors, mini stories, vivid imagery, he just checks every box. love the instrumental section as well, very outside the box and not like what i usually hear on the radio from him

right on
much like public enemy this is the kind of rap i miss. unfortunately i think kids are just 2 jaded to appreciate stuff like this anymore. nice to hear it still being played

rain
super melodic, enjoyed listening, lyrics aren’t super relatable for me but they’re both great at rapping and i appreciate their talent

speedboat
i liked this one a lot better. for starters i understood every word he says, and i love all the different deliveries. brag rap is meh in general to me but this one is really well made. great video also

negro spiritual
not a fan of danny brown at all. can’t stand him on gta, can’t stand him on dve, can’t stand him here. nice beat though. inb4 space monkey calls me a racist for saying negro

bad boys 3
ironic placement considering the video for speedboat reminded me of bad boys 2. in a good way. i liked this one also, really paints a picture of what life was like. super atmospheric

black sheep
these are restarting to blur together haha. again i like the lyrics and the beat is great but craving more varied subject matter. outro is a bit lengthy but it’s still enjoyable to listen to

well this wasn’t what i was expecting. enjoyed this song a lot. amazing production and awesome video. felt like a poetry recital to music. pretty cool!

overall 7/10, some tracks that i will definitely revisit, some that i definitely will not lol. thank you for sharing!
