This is an improvement in the sense that you sound slightly less like Eminem here than you do on your previous tracks. I think you should keep going in this direction of shedding the Eminemisms. Be yourself and your music will be better for it. You can still make complex rhymes without being Eminem. I liked the LCD line. I’m not a fan of the instrumental. I know you wanted it minimal to focus more on the bars but this beat is so minimal it might as well not even be there. Not trying to be mean just being honest.

He’s off beat in such a way where I kinda get the feeling he recorded it a capella and then tried to put a random beat under it afterwards.

i really appreciate the listens and the praise and the constructive criticism. @Ripper Roo is right this was indeed written and recorded, well, freestyled from various writtens, acapella, and i added the beat later. this was right before i started working on actually writing to beats and fitting the bars within them. on life and light i worked really hard on that and i think some of the stuff on there was mired a bit by the drama in the thread, but i am working hard on it nevertheless. the song i did for the battle with 69 is completely catered to its beat, and i must say it sounds amazing. complete opposite of d-ck dastardly for example where some lines were 2 long some were 2 short etc. you were so right about that. i’m looking forward to sharing this song and more new stuff with you guys soon!
