Feb 3, 2026 at 2:55 AM Have you ever noticed all the stories Eminem tells about his time with Proof are all before he got singed? There isn’t a single story or memory of after Eminem got rich and famous. Plus they even fell out and didn’t speak for like 6 months or longer when SSLP was released. The people who were “gutted” by Proofs death were actually his children and his immediate family. To blame his death on the reason for Marshall “spiralling” is silly. Eminem would have spiralled regardless. Eminem even said himself in his book that he was “thanking people” for coming to Proofs funeral, then said to himself in his head “why am I thanking people, this is nothing to do with me, proof had a whole other life and circle of friends from all over”
Feb 3, 2026 at 4:14 AM Em left D12 to starve way before his death, that’s why they had to do an US tour without their lead singer
Feb 3, 2026 at 5:18 AM JLG with another delusion (or same delusion extended). Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Like he told every proof story? All he said was they rhymed the same and proof gave him nikes. There are videos of them goofing around after 2000. Its not like eminems music should be a diary of events with proof. People stop hanging out as much due to life circumstances. And eminem doesnt say it was proofs death that caused him to spiral. He even admits that was his own rationale in Deja Vu, but knows its false. It certainly didnt help to lose a friend. And where was proof when eminem was high all the time in 2004 and 2005? He let him destroy himself. Bad friend.
Feb 3, 2026 at 5:36 AM Wasting all that time bringing through 5 other s-----y rappers was one of the worst things Eminem ever did. He should have just kept Proof as his hype man and left the rest in Detroit. That way we would have gotten even better prime material (all the Devils Night stuff wouldn’t have been wasted on them) and dare I say a way better career in the long run. He says it was some sort of “pact” they had made to bring eachother through. But I don’t buy it. It was an obvious ploy by Paul the Jew to see an easy money making opportunity by creating a record label whilst Eminems name was hot. Those bums were just the first easy pickings to get it going.
Feb 3, 2026 at 6:09 AM This and it also gave Em black credibility. The "pact" thing sounds like something you tell your friends as a teenager when the joint is being passed around. Don't buy it.
Feb 3, 2026 at 6:13 AM D12 sucks. None of eminems talent rubbed off onto them. Proof was a bad, boring rapper.
Feb 3, 2026 at 6:20 AM Proof was the only rapper I liked in D12. The rest were mediocre at best. Except for Bizarre, he’s absolutely godawful.
Feb 3, 2026 at 7:19 AM I think Proof was the best of a bad bunch. At least he had some personality and charisma, which is why he was perfect for the hype man role.
