Not sure who actually replayed back Eminems Walkman recording melody for him tho, I’d say probably Elizondo. Although ive even seen Eminem say in an interview (or somewhere) that it was Jeff Bass he got to play the melody back to him.

All you leisure wear/Expensive clothing = V-Neck shirts aka Casual T-s----s. Casualties, being you’ll end up a statistic. That’s obvious right. but the insult is Game isn’t hot, because he needs to turn up the heat. And finally the Del Monte Beans bar is way more entrenched in actual LA g--- politics. Del monte California crips in LA alone has a hundred diffrent labels since there isn’t actual one set, there are a thousand different sets under the crip umbrella. That’s why you can’t label them. Like critics, you can’t appease all of them. Basically this whole verse is about how cheap and pointless Game’s affiliations are because he isn’t even relevant in his own city as a thousand different rival gangsters are in that city alone.lime Beans, Lime street Compton is where the biggest studio blood is from.. YG. It’s all connected. That’s rosecrans Where Kendrick and Game were just midgets when MMLP came out

I want to see how the Lose Yourself piano intro sounded as Jeff Bass originally played it before Steve King moved it up a key. The album version is in the key of D. If you could try and find a way within whatever software you use to drop it down to the key of C, I’d like to hear it. Obviously without altering the BPM (unless it was actually sped up by King when he moved it up)
Jan 9, 2026 at 9:58 PM You should rewatch the Eminem Chrysler commercial which uses the song Lose Yourself. They went back to the original recording to make that version of the song and you can hear that guitar loop possibly in it's earliest stage before any effects were added or layers were added
Jan 10, 2026 at 4:15 AM That’s interesting, but what makes you think that’s the earliest stage of the loop? I’d say the opposite, sounds like a recreation. I think the earliest stage of the loop is the Demo version, which is in the lower key that Jeff mentioned he wrote it in. If you listen to the demo version then the album version, you can see the latter is lightly sped up and higher pitch.
Jan 10, 2026 at 6:15 AM Well what on saying is what you hear on the released version wont be how Jeff originally recorded it. There will be EQ and effects added to make it sound the way JT does. Same with everything else, the kick drum, the snare. They will all have things done to get them to sound that way.
Jan 10, 2026 at 6:24 AM Eq doesn’t really make things sound different unless you’re trying to dramatically change the sound of it. And I doubt there’s hardly any effects added to the guitar post-mix. The effects will have been through whatever pedal Bass was running his guitar through. Yeah King may have cleaned it up a little and maybe took out some low frequencies, but other than that it wouldn’t really sound too different. The demo version is obviously unmixed and it has pretty much the exact same guitar sound as the finished version. As for the drums like the kick and the snare, they may be compressed (maybe some side-chaining) to make them knock harder but the sounds themselves wont have changed.

Jan 10, 2026 at 7:13 AM just the hook. One of my issues with TDOSS is the cheap amateur sounding hooks. He needs better artists to do them or just use his own hooks.
