Man the 00's ... I tried at first to come up with some more 'unknown' songs but some of the mixtapes really made me go back to all the amazing stuff that dropped that era.

So I was like f--- it, I'm also doing trip down memory lane with my mixtape lmao

Might be against the rules but mine is gonna have 15 Spotify songs @Justin Trudeau and one Youtube. It's not on spotify smh but I listened to this a million times as a kid lol

And it's connected to a song I had from the 80's tape

    Disc read error.

My tape has a lot of similarities since it's also a huge nostalgia trip. This one as well.

I knew about 80% of the songs but most of them been such a long time lol. Not a long review since there's not much to say for me, just to enjoy amd vibe.

The opening is not something I'd listen to but it's a nice build up, like before a concert starts.
Faint yeah, f---ing classic. I listen to the Jay remix a lot but even that been a while. Seen them perform this a few months ago (Emily ofcourse).
Hung Up one of my favorite pop songs OAT
Toxic also one I had in mind but had to switched it lol. Pop classic
Literally had this on my list too.... you can't stop vibing to this lmao
Early 2000's Timbaland was THE hitmaker and Promiscous is no exception
Shakira one the most beautiful woman still in her (late) 40's (?). Another song that was everywhere
Whatever You Like yeah wtf can I say but 10/10
    Goodies.. club going CRAZY
Man Pharrel before he went the f-- route with Happy. I remember this song mostly from Scary Movie 2 when the white old people sing along to this lmaoo
1thing - never been the biggest fan but good song anyways
Glamorous - Fergie was so good back then even without BEP. Not sure if she had that many solo hits though I remember this and Big Girls Don't Cry.
Big Time Rush is a bit too gay for me so this is literally the only 'no' from me
    Move along, damnit been yeeears.
    White Flag classic
Sabbat is a nice calm song to zone out after dancing and nodding your head the whole time lmao

    9/10

Glad someone said this, that’s what I wanted it to feel like essentially
    Cool
Same. There’s just something about it
Fax on fax. Timbaland was goated, it’s a shame he makes AI slop now. Fax about Shakira too. Hips don’t lie and her face doesn’t either.
Nice, this describes the purpose of the song pretty well
Thank you for the high score

Michael Myers - A Michael Myers Thanksgiving Nostalgia Trip

Favorites: Disturbia, Amazing, Pass Out, Paparazzi, Whatchu Want, Give It To Me

    Ripper Roo’s rating: 7/10

There were some songs here I really didn’t like all that much. I normally like what I hear from Red Hot Chili Peppers, but “Tell Me Baby” didn’t do anything for me. “Nod Ya Head” would be good without Will Smith, most of the time he is just a cornball and this song was no exception. I didn’t like the vocal delivery on “God Was Never on Your Side” at all and almost found it to be boring. I couldn’t take “Vertigo” seriously especially with the hilarious “YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!” s--- at the end lmao.

“Disturbia”, “Amazing”, and “Paparazzi” are classics at this point. “Amazing” will still randomly play in my head from time to time. Nas’s verse on “Usual Suspects” was dope. It was nice to see a Biggie and Jay Z collab on here, Biggie was gone too soon. “Give It To Me” felt like another “The Way I Are” or “Promiscuous” type of song which was enjoyable, the more music like that the better. “Pass Out” was a pretty cool song from Ludacris. Other than that, I don’t have much else to say about this tape. There’s some big misses here for me but overall it’s a good tape. @AOTWClub

Ripper Roo - Disc Read Error

Gonna try to keep this brief as I am mostly familiar with all the songs here

One Final Effort is a perfect song on a perfect soundtrack for a goated game that still plays great to this day.

Faint is one of my absolute favorite Linkin Park songs so I'm really happy to see it here, know this one by heart and am always pumped to hear it. Rip the goat

Hung Up is one on a long list of hits that Madonna has that I completely forget is her song lol, pretty fun track although a tiny bit long for what it is. As crazy as she is one thing Madonna did was adapt pretty decently with the times for longer than most people did.

Not much to say about Toxic, absolute b-----r. Tony Yayo was the only one brave enough to sample it

I miss 2000s Timbaland so much man, his big hits were so immaculate and The Way I Are and Promiscuous are both a huge part of that. Perfect songs

I always found the vocal production on hips don't lie slightly grating considering Shakiras voice is much louder in the mix, still a great song tho. I'm just more of a Whenever, Wherever girlie myself

Whatever You Like is a song that still gets stuck in my head constantly, not the best song in the world but really charming and I'll always have a soft spot for it.

I completely forgot about Goodies and it rips, Ciara is so good dude, great classic poppy b-----r.

Shake Ya a--- is such a fun song but I can't lie and act like a solid 80% of my enjoyment is because this clip is burned in my brain lmao

1 Thing is another song I forgot about but absolutely love, the pop and R&B hits were firing on all cylinders back then. One of my favorites from the Playlist for sure

Glamorous is super fun, a big part of my nostalgia to this song is during my GTA5 no lifing days, always used to be happy when this song played on the radio in game. Fun a--- times

Any Kind Of Guy didn't do too much for me, I have nothing wrong with the song but the Big Time Rush wave completely missed me somehow so I don't have the same connection to the music as people around me do.

Move Along on the other hand is my s---, All-American Rejects had a handful of great hits and this is one of my favorites, just a really fun song to listen to and super catchy.

White Flag is a gorgeous song, I don't listen to it much but hearing it here reminded me how good it and Dido in general is. Happy to have revisted this track

And I don't think I'm familiar with SABBATH but it was a really nice ambient closer that really works.

All in all really solid tape, my only gripe is not roos fault and more of the fault that we're d--- near the same person so I know basically all of these songs already so it felt like putting my liked songs on shuffle but more cohesive lol. I'm going to consistently give high scores to these tapes cause I'm such a big sucker for this decade so apologies if my ratings become repetitious!

Favorite Songs: One Final Effort, Faint, The Way I Are, Promiscuous, Goodies, 1 Thing, Move Along. White Flag

Fax, one of the best video game soundtracks ever. It’s a shame Halo is so mid these days
I agree that she adapted decently for the times. I especially agree that the song is a bit long. I mean, I guess one could make the excuse that that plays into the “time goes by so slowly” thing but idk about that. I didn’t remember the song being like this but in the process of making this mixtape I realized it definitely does feel like it drags on and on
Toxic is the first song I think of when I think of 2000s music
Agreed, some of the best songs ever. Now he’s making AI slop. Epic fall from grace.
I’m glad you brought this up because it was honestly really bothering me. I had never noticed that issue with the mix until I was putting together the tape. To be fair I hadn’t really listened to the song in years. Once I noticed the issue, the song wasn’t hitting like it should. It took some time to get used to. I had considered using Whenever, Wherever as it’s also a great song but Hips Don’t Lie is more iconic to me
Absolutely. Out of all the artists here, I had the hardest time picking which Ciara song to put on the tape. Until now I didn’t truly realize how many great songs she made.
Fosho. Hopefully some good times can be had with GTA 6 lol
Tbh when I was a kid I only knew like 1 other person that liked them. Everyone else either didn’t know who they were or thought they were cringe
I hadn’t listened to it in forever before this mixtape but the song honestly inspired me when I heard it again. It’s a feel-good song that can actually give you the motivation to keep going even when you don’t want to.
Clock it twin. It genuinely made me emotional when I was listening through the tape. Something about going from Move Along to White Flag to SABBATH just really worked for me and got me in my feels
Once it made me feel like this I knew I had to use it

    lol frfr
Thank you for the high score!
