Sep 20, 2025 at 6:36 AM Hey everyone, Back in 2012–2013 I watched a documentary about Eminem (possibly Marshall’s Closet Vol.1 or a similar fan-compiled doc). In it, there was a very specific and disturbing segment: Eminem talks about his mother showing him fake pictures. He mentions a fictitious little sister who never existed (similar to the line in My Dad’s Gone Crazy). I distinctly remember seeing one of these pictures on screen – I recall there being a railing/banister in it. It wasn’t just a lyric — it was visual, in the documentary, and it struck me hard at the time. I know the lyric itself is on The Eminem Show, but I’m 100% certain I saw a documentary version with actual imagery, not just the song. I saw this clip online around 2012–2013 before a lot of content was taken down. I haven’t been able to find it since. Has anyone else seen this version? Does anyone have old rips of Marshall’s Closet or other early 2000s Eminem docs (VH1, MTV Diary, E! True Hollywood Story) that might contain this segment? Any info, timestamps, or links would be amazing. Thanks in advance
Sep 20, 2025 at 9:41 AM This “sister” has never been mentioned in any documentaries. It was only mentioned once by Eminem in the song “The Apple” recorded in 2006. Your brain is misremembering this thinking you saw it on a documentary because of the imagery the lyric invokes.
