Also this. Cap 4; Brave New World is still gonna end up as one of the highest grossing movies of the year. And quality wise it’s not as good as Superman or F4, and definitely not Thunderbolts level. Perspective is key.

I think Marvel has definitely gotten out of thier mediocre quality wise. But have to keep working on building box office stability. But it might just be that unless your An Avenger level event film, a Smash is just out of the picture. In 2018, even Antman was doing like $600M+. The industry has changed. People wait for Digital otherwise. Seeing as thunderbolts and Cap 4 have actually made thier budget back on digital releases and brand deals.

On a more positive note, it’s reported that RDJ is currently still filming Doomsday day and night shoots. There are rumors he is filming almost 20 hour days.

Some marvel fans just don’t wanna admit they are part of the problem. I get criticism and disappointment in phase 4 & 5. But it gets to a point where you can tell the fans are the issue and they just can’t grow up or out of nostalgia from the infinity saga. You want proof. Let’s look at facts

people asked “where are the Avengers?” Then we get a A new avengers movie this year and Captain America now assembling his team. People asked where are the X-men, then we get the chair reveal that X-Men will be starring in Doomsday. People say they hate Nanotech mask and bad CGI volume green screen in every movie. Then we get Ironheart return to classic practice iron suits. F4 with the best visuals arguably ever for the MCU, and thunderbolts return to practice stunts and sets. People complain that they hate the multiverse and want it over, so we got literally 3 movies this year that didn’t even mention multiverse. (F4 kinda did for like 2 seconds, but was the most standalone marvel MCU movie ever). Anyone noticing a pattern? The fandom don’t like to admit fault and they are also part of the problem. Not showing up to the very movies that address and fix the issues with modern marvel is hypocritical. I get it, you want your Spiderman and Thor’s and hulks…. But it’s just kinda hard to take people serious when they are rejecting what they asked for. Like people saying bringing back all the avengers is a desperate move, yet it’s what you asked for. The fandom wasn’t like this during the infinity saga. No one complained about behind the scene reshoots, even tho they all had them.
So yeah, this instant gratification generation and old fans wanting infinity war for every single project… as if infinity war and endgame weren’t literally 10 years of build up

The marvel fandom is also aging. Gen Z don’t wanna admit it. But even tom holland is starting to look it. You midgets will be pushing 30 soon. You’ll have families and priorities too. And as I grow out of sight, and out of mind… I just might go out of mine. But I won’t give up the fight! How many franchises did I go through? Harry Potter, Transformers, the DCEU, Twilight, and those Minions too. Jurassic still standing, but they gonna Turn on you one day too. Calling you a has been, laughing at your captain. b----, he ended a red Hulk, And Florence Pugh saved the world too. If we wanna admit it or not, being young when these movies came out def affects how we view them. Now I’m not saying they all s--- now, but I probably would’ve called almost every MCU movie a perfect movie 10 years ago.

I was just about to turn 3 when Iron Man came out, was almost 13 when infinity war came out, and was almost 14 when endgame came out. The entire infinity saga literally concluded a month before I started high school. That saga will always hold a dear place in my heart and probably why I view it so highly. It’s not a perfect saga by any means, but a lot of people grew up with it. I will be 21 when Doomsday releases and 22 when the multiverse saga concludes with Secret Wars. Nearly 20 years of watching these movies/shows despite the ups and downs.

Has the multiverse saga not been as great as the infinity saga? Yeah, sure. But growing up with the infinity saga compared to the multiverse saga for sure plays a role. You see it with Star Wars, people who were kids for the OT hate the prequels, whereas my generation and the generation before like them more than anyone who grew up with the OT. I love revenge of the sith, and my friend’s dad who was born in ‘71 hates the prequels.

In 10-15 years time, we will see people who were born in the 2010’s defend the MV saga I bet. Same goes for the sequel trilogy for Star Wars
