Jul 13, 2025 at 10:25 AM s--- label tbh. Only had a couple of years where it offered an artist a real boost to their music and exposure. Eminem disappeared from public life, and his creative instincts became a liability to your project. A few good albums came out over the years but I can't say any of these acts were well served by their label.
Jul 16, 2025 at 4:46 AM The original promotions were clever. Usually a freestyle before an album and mentioned the date. Featuring Obie and Young Zee on the D12 albums telling people they were coming next. All great stuff. Last time he did anything close was with Yellawolf and had the Revival poster in the back ground. Side note, I always wonder how the original Revival would of gone, with all the drug related stuff on the phone numbers and youtube adverts. Before Trump became president and Em thought we cared how he felt about it.
Jul 17, 2025 at 5:30 AM D12 didn't officially disband in 2006. D12 were supposed to be on recovery but the sample didnt clear on time for hit me with your best shot. Return of the dozen 2 in 2011 features eminem on the intro skit and on fame in a proper capacity. Despite it being a bs addition due to backlash, eminem is technically on the devils night mixtape in 2015 on that garbage acapella they put on afterwards. And bane in 2014 is on shadyxv as a d12 track. Stepping stone is gaslighting
Jul 17, 2025 at 5:35 AM Who could've forgotten all the work Em has done with D12 since Stepping Stone...
Jul 17, 2025 at 5:37 AM I mean in terms of his narrative on that track about the group being dead when proof died. They were still talking about that 3rd album up until after the bad meets evil album. Last mention from eminems side is on that livestream with royce, but royce mentioned it, not eminem, to my memory. After that eminem basically stopped f---ing with them Of course its dead now...
Jul 17, 2025 at 6:01 AM BOB should've been signed back in the day rather than just a publishing deal. But amalgamating everything, the best line up would've been: Eminem D12 50 Cent Obie Trice Yekawolf Stat Quo possibly
Jul 17, 2025 at 6:03 AM I think both things are kind of true. I never believed a new D12 album would come out after 2009 despite the few times it was mentioned after that. I feel like the group truly died after he got sober despite the few collabs after that.
Jul 17, 2025 at 6:15 AM You're reading that line literally. It's the same as you saying "they're dead to me" but that person isn't actually dead. But you won't have anything else to do with them.
Jul 17, 2025 at 8:40 AM I had hope for a bit, and I think in 09-11 there was still a chance. In 2009 he still had them around as his entourage, and last performed with them in 2011. I honestly I think rekindling with royce and then the push for slaughterhouse started them drifting apart. Eminem apparently cannot be close with d12 and royce simultaneously history will show lol
Jul 17, 2025 at 9:28 AM I agree, but I have to believe that it wasn't supposed to be that way with all the drug promo. Then it just stopped and became all.about America. I've convinced myself that we didn't get the original album.
