Jul 9, 2025 at 12:48 AM Just got done singing Hurry Up Tomorrow by The Weeknd in the moonlight. I will respond to the DiggleDogg review soon!
Jul 9, 2025 at 12:54 AM Respectable score thank you Fax af I’m surprised at how many people didn’t like Be Good. That’s one of my favs prolly All valid complaints. I felt this when I was relistening, I knew some people would feel this Endlessly is so beautiful. Smino killed it on Gimme the Wheel and it’s so catchy. I love the idea behind More Than Enough Thanks man glad you enjoyed it
Jul 9, 2025 at 1:15 AM Ooo, seems like you gathered your thoughts pretty quickly which makes me very intrigued
Jul 9, 2025 at 2:12 AM I’ll be honest I haven’t heard it yet LMFAO but I know I’ll probably have a review for it tomorrow just because I’ll want to discuss it. It’s only about an hour as well and I got nothing to do tomorrow so I’ll probably run it more than once
Jul 9, 2025 at 2:32 AM LMAO, bet. I can go on about the album and I'm more interested in the discussion about it from people than actual ratings so sounds good to me!
Jul 9, 2025 at 2:36 AM For anyone interested I also recommend the music videos for the album, cool ideas and super well shot. There's also an entire album "movie" that has visual and B roll for the entire album duration but that's not important unless you like the record.
Jul 10, 2025 at 12:03 AM I Didn't Mean to Haunt You - Quadeca REVIEW Score: 9.0 Review: Yeah, so worth the hype. I see the vision. I cannot believe this was the guy making KSI diss tracks in the late 2010's haha. Anyways, the production and the vocals on this thing...WOW! Especially fond of the vocals in the back half of picking up hands. While I feel like some tracks ran a tad long, it still didn't feel like they overstayed their welcome. Danny Brown had a fantastic feature (as usual), and the Sunday Service Choir was a nice touch as well. Some fav tracks of mine include don't mind me, picking up hands, house settling, knots, and fantasyworld. Remembering where Quadeca used to be and how he has evolved is insane! Phenomenal pick @jankland ! @AOTWClub 2025 AOTW Rankings: 1. h--- Hath No Fury - 9.0 2. The Beatles - 9.0 3. I Didn't Mean to Haunt You - 9.0 4. It Was Divine - 7.0 5. Sir Lucious Left Foot…The Son Of Chico Dusty - 7.0

Jul 10, 2025 at 6:46 PM Quadeca - I Didn't Mean to Haunt You Before beginning this review, I have to acknowledge my previous (limited) experience with Quadeca. As jank mentioned in his intro for the record, Quadeca started as a YouTuber, and most of his early music was YouTube rap. Now, I think most of us (at least the zoomers) are familiar with the YouTube rap subgenre, and most of the rappers that fit into that genre (mainly Dax, Crypt, and so on) are usually terrible. Aside from the song that Jank added on his first mixtape for the club, the only experience that I had with Quadeca was this: To be fair, "Insecure" is probably one of the best YouTube rap song ever, but still. Based off of Jank's intro, and some background research I did on my own, I knew that the album would sound little to nothing like this, but, I still felt like it would be necessary for me to acknowledge my previous opinion on Quadeca before diving into this album First off, in terms of artistic development, this record is outstanding. Some of the production on this record legitimately reminds me of Kid A-era Radiohead, which is not what I expected. My favorite would probably have to be "knots" though, the beast slaps on that. Quadeca's voice is pretty good too, with songs like "tell me a joke" showing how beautiful it can sound, while others like the aforementioned "knots" show his versatility with some unexpectedly dark vocals (he honestly kinda remind me of 3D from Massive Attack on this one). Danny Brown is always a plus of course. As a brainrotted (former?) Kanye stan, I was already sort of familiar with the Sunday Service Choir beforehand, but they sound so different, and great on "Fractions of Infinity". This might be an odd comparison, but the structure of "cassini's division" reminded me off of some of the tracks from Swans' Soundtracks for the Blind, which is not what I expected. I do have to admit that aside from "tell me a joke", I wasn't really that into the first half of the record, but it started picking up around "The Memories We Lost In Translation", at least for me. As such, even though I really enjoyed the second half of the record, I am gonna knock down a few points because I wasn't too into the first. Still, this was a very surprising record for me, and it 100% was not what I anticipated from a Quadeca album. I sincerely want to thank @jankland for recommending an album that I probably would have avoided otherwise. So yeah, that's about it. FAVORITES: TELL Me A Joke, House Setting, Knots, fantasyworld, Fractions of Infinity RATING: 7.5/10 @AOTWClub @jankland
Jul 10, 2025 at 7:40 PM I speak for EVERYONE in AOTWClub when I say our Clipse reviews are all being posted tonight
Jul 10, 2025 at 8:08 PM Glad you enjoyed it! I agree with enjoying the back half more but the more time I spent with it the first half started really growing on me and now has some of my favorite songs. Danny Brown rapping from the perspective of Carbon Monoxide with never not be crazy lmao. Thor Harris is actually the drummer for Swans so that Cassinis Division comparison isn't farfetched. Be sure to stick around in my other thread when the new album drops
Jul 10, 2025 at 8:31 PM Yeah, i'm not holding off to post initial thoughts in the Clipse thread, but I’ll save the more in depth review for here
Jul 10, 2025 at 11:07 PM Quadeca - I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You Favorites: tell me a joke, born yesterday, knots, fantasyworld RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 9/10 I did my last listen for this review while driving as the son was going down and eventually as it turned to night. In a Walmart parking lot typing this right now actually as I hear the loudspeaker saying they are closing. Anyway, I found driving around listening to this to be fitting as Quadeca himself did this while reacting to albums a few years ago. I love these albums that feel like there’s more to it than just being an album. Like this album creates a whole world and concept and I really appreciate that. This album came to me at a time when I really needed it. I was in a very dark place and could relate to the subject matter. I still kind of do. No matter how many people know me or love me, sometimes I still feel like a ghost in this world all alone. This could easily be a repeat of my XXXTENTACION review but I’m gonna try to keep this shorter by mainly focusing on my favorite songs. If anyone would like to have more in-depth conversation of course we could. The production style and Quadeca’s vocals are awesome and really do feel haunting by the way. Tell me a joke is awesome. I love that idea as a song concept. “Haha, laugh to the grave” instead of laughing to the bank always gets me. “How am I doin' this? Bone dry skeleton, humorous,” is such a catchy part of the song too. The song reminds me of using humor to cope with the bad s--- in your life. Born yesterday feels like a journey of the soul. So much regret and pain watching your loved ones from purgatory. All this life just flashing before your eyes. All these experiences happening without you. And life goes by so fast that sometimes it’s almost as if you were born yesterday. Knots is just hardcore, this song feels so me. Definite workout song. Fantasyworld is another song that is so me. It really speaks to my soul. I often had to go to said fantasy world, especially when I was a child, to cope with the horrible things going on in my house and all around me so this song will always resonate with me. The other songs are good too but I feel don’t mind me and picking up hands were weaker than the others. But other than that this is an amazing album. Great pick @jankland id love to discuss this more later with anyone who wants to. @AOTWClub
