What’s happening in Canada? I live in Detroit, 8 Mile and Novaro to be specific. I gotta protect my grandkid, and I don’t want some moose’s to come over the border and threaten him.

I hate what my country's become. It's an actual s--- hole. Mark Carney's just as bad as Trudeau, if not worse. I read his book 'values' and it's some of the most incoherent dystopian non-fiction s--- I've ever read.

Hate to be difficult but no one is worse than Trudeau - it’s not humanly possible.

Deliberately pushing harmful policy for personal financial gain and out of spite is worse than being an ignorant drama teacher who solely speaks in circles. And while some point to Carney’s supposed credibility, the way he openly signals his intentions makes it hard to ignore the bigger picture. When he talks about driving Canada to net-zero carbon emissions by 2030, the implications are chilling. He’s an intellectual without a moral compass, and that’s a dangerous combination.

Trudeau might have been naive or out of his depth, but Carney is something far more calculated.

Good points but I was referring to the pain level of watching him speak. Only one worse to listen to is Putin! My Russian girlfriend told me kgb members speak that way to get prisoners to cave to their demands or commit suicide, it’s one of their best torture methods.

Fair enough, watching him speak in the House of Commons chamber, or anywhere for that matter, made me pull my hair out.

I was very surprised to see Canada vote Carney in. Just seems like Trudeau but with better optics.

Pretty much on point. The facade seems to be already fading. If Trump hadn’t introduced tariffs, Carney wouldn’t have gained traction with his empty promises. Boomers voted out of anger rather than strategy. Once Poilievre secures his by-election seat, Carney likely won’t last. People still can’t afford food, crime is still rampant with catch and release laws, and government-issued narcotics are everywhere.

So Carney was more of an anti-Trump vote? Were canadians worried that Poilievre was gonna be a Trump puppet?

Yeah crime does seem wild in bigger canadian cities. When I saw Toronto's police chief say "just leave your key fobs outside for the criminals" my head exploded lol

Exactly. I don’t care much for politicians, but I try not to be so cynical as to believe they’re all snakes or that everything is hopeless. Polievre came across as sincere to me, with his priorities in the right place, especially given his openness to long-form interviews and podcasts where he wasn’t afraid to answer tough questions with real answers, whether you agreed with him or not. Compared to past Conservative MPs who lacked the qualities needed to be Prime Minister, he stands out. Canada is generally a very liberal country anyways, so being labeled a “conservative” here doesn’t carry the same implications as being a Republican in the U.S.

Trudeau’s cabinet tried to paint him as the Canadian Trump, but that narrative doesn’t hold up. Despite what seniors glued to government-funded propagandist news and college students in humanities programs voting NDP might say, he’s clearly not. The NDP, at this point, feels like an unnecessary party that simply mirrors the Liberals in both ideals and policies. Not to mention their coalition with the Liberal party is also what allowed Trudeau to go around recklessly unchecked.

It’s really really bad, I refuse to even visit the GTHA anymore (greater Toronto to Hamilton area) and I grew up in arguably one of the worst cities in the province, though Brampton is pretty much just as bad nowadays.

People just steal cars on a daily basis, load them up in cargo, and only one crate is inspected per shipment. The whole system is f-----.
