It was still funny during his absence but it started lose a lot of the nuance that made it funny and started to feel more just like shock humour. Jul 6, 2025 at 7:57 PM Well look at Curb, which is nowhere near as good as Seinfeld. A huge part of that is due to the amazing cast of Seinfeld, but is Curb really as well written? I wouldn't say so. If you watch interviews of them talking about the writing process they always both describe a creative rapport between them that was definitely synergistic. Seinfeld without Jerry Seinfeld in the writing room wouldn't have been the same, and almost certainly not as funny.

All we do is submit the beats to them and then they decide what to do with it. Lots of flows they could of done with that beat that would of been better imo.
