Jul 1, 2025 at 6:01 PM This is my main gripe with MMLP2 as a whole. His voice sounds incredibly grating to my ears and his production is f---ing dogshit. Not to mention choppy/stop start flows. Easily my least listened to album of his. Agreed though it's 10x worse on Shady XV.
Jul 1, 2025 at 6:22 PM It’s not so bad on MMLP2; it’s the year after, with ShadyXV, where he’s just using million syllable rhyme schemes for the sake of it. “Right for Me” is ridiculous and nonsensical, and in the same vein as “Ritz.” I presume they were recorded around the same time.
Jul 1, 2025 at 6:23 PM actually i felt the exact same way. this was really surreal to experience. almost like listening to someone search for their way home. and how vindicating it is to witness them find it. that’s why i follow em. he always delivers. sometimes it just takes a couple tries the leak is on the eminem reddit, idk if i’m allowed to post the link here. to me the beat sounds 10x better than the album version and frankly i like the delivery here better also. there’s still that twinge of idgaf left over from relapse like there is on fly away, i’m sorry, despicable og etc
Jul 1, 2025 at 6:26 PM these are two of my fav songs from him tbh. and that’s precisely because of the way he sacrifices musicality for technicality. i’ve been fighting people here on this for 11 years and i’ll continue to do so. right for me is honestly an amazing song. the beat is straight outta tes and each verse tells an awesome story with super vivid imagery and several levels of metaphor/simile, each featuring its own unique 5-8 syllable rhymescheme. the song is amazing and if Narsh couldn’t convince me otherwise, you certainly aren’t going to. but thank you for playing!

Jul 1, 2025 at 6:56 PM Since Eminem leaned into the SSLP and MMLP voices a lot on DoSS, I wonder if he will lean more into the TES voice on this new album. He already kinda did that on the Fuel remix. I’m not sure if he will keep using AI or not, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they mix his vocals differently from now on. Realistically they don’t even have to go full AI voice. They could still use his current voice but blend in the AI voice filter a little bit as well. That might be the best route if they still wanna use AI because if they use AI too much it might take away from the novelty of DoSS.
