I mean really though . Dre’s a hip hop producer. Like he said “wtf am I going to do with them” he just didn’t know creatively what to even do . But that being said . Guns and roses back in the day was a huge n.w.a supporter . They came out around the same time . And I’ve read that eazy had done something like 6-8 songs with them that was never released. Now really think about this and how big this could of been . Straight out of Compton came out in 88. It wasn’t until a decade later when DMX and marilyn manson released “the omen”. Which happened to be the first rap / rock collab In history. And nwa almost went on tour with Guns N’ Roses back in the day as well . Had n.w.a. Teamed up with Guns N’ Roses , had dr.Dre Dre worked with mj & prince . The entire genre of hip hop would of sounded different . It took how many years for hip hop to even be accepted as a house hold name ?

MJ had rap in some songs, and even if he didn’t, it’s just beats, he could have done it perfectly.

Sales wise, maybe. Quality wise, probably not.

Which is strange because he’s worked on pop music, funk & jazz. He made one of Gwen Stefani’s biggest hits.

Aerosmith and RUN DMC did a rap/rock collab well before the DMX Manson track with their Walk This Way remix.

I'm a massive GN'R fan but have never heard about the Eazy E collabs, I do remember Axl doing Taste Good Don't It during the instrumental bit of Rocket Queen on the UYI tour and that him and the rest of the band loved NWA. Would f---ing love if an Eazy and GNR song leaked some day

That was a remix . That’d be like using a sample . The omen was the first time a rap artist and rock artist officially hooked up and did a song

No it wasn't... first off Walk this way was more of a remake/cover than a remix. But even if we don't count that, on No Sleep til Brooklyn with the Beastie Boys, it was the guitarist from Slayer that did all the guitar riffs and solos etc. Then you have the Public Enemy and Anthrax collaboration early 90's. Ice-T and his rock group Body Count... There's the Judgment Night soundtrack in 1993 where every single song is a rap/rock collab.... and probably others that I can't remember right now. The Omen wasn't even near being the first one...

Besides that, I also heard about the GnR and Eazy songs and GnR liking NWA. Also Metallica has said in interviews that they would have loved to work with Dre but he turned them down... probably for similar reasons he stated in this interview...
