Oct 3, 2021 Relapse is his 4th classic if you remove ''Beautiful''. But the blemish is too big for me. The style is TOO unique and that song is TOO different. It sounds absurd and is like a turd smeared on a canvas of beauty (ironic given the song title)
Oct 3, 2021 Feels kinda out of place, but I love Relapse as a whole. I think it's his best since the original trilogy
Oct 3, 2021 It's amazing. It's why that blemish is just so much more annoying to me. I LOVE Relapse. But that song is just in SUCH contrast. And obviously because it wasn't made in that period, it was made for King Mathers, as he confirmed himself. It's okay if there's a s-----y or not the best song or few on a classic or great album but not when they're SO out of tone with the rest. And Relapse is a bizarre (in a good way), unique style. It just can't mesh with something that ordinary.
Oct 3, 2021 as an old eminem fan, beautiful is the best song on the album to me... because others were out dated dr. dre productions. its the last song eminem and jeff bass worked together.
Oct 3, 2021 Kamikaze is very important album in Em's discography because it brought the slim shady back. with Kamikaze he brought his old rapping style and slim shady vibe. also after long time we could heard the hunger for rap msic in his voice and lyrics. i think MTBMB is his best since The Eminem Show. as an old eminem fan from late 90s, i wouldnt guess that eminem will still be in his prime days in 2020.
Oct 4, 2021 It's so predictable and boring for that to be the best song. Just because he's being personal. He already nailed the personal angle with 'Deja Vu' but in the style of the album. Beautiful is outdated. It's a predictable rap-rock song we've heard many times before and it's out of tone with the rest of the album. The rest of the beats and his style are totally new and weird. 'My Mom' beat is anything but 'outdated', it's from outer space. Beautiful ruins the masterpiece.
Oct 4, 2021 If it's the 4th, then MTBMB is the 5th classic. But don't fight me. I know it's still a bit early anyway.
Oct 5, 2021 my mom is an ordinary dre beat with horns which i like but very predictable. deja vu is my 2nd favorite on the album. great production and contect from start the end. i love the outro with strings and electro guitar. bagpipes from baghdad could be my favorite with a better content instead mariah issue. rest of the beats were ery out dated honestly. i can even call a few of em trash, for example "medicine ball", "must be the ganja", "hello", "old times sake". if relapse was released instead encore in 2004 it would sound great. but in 2009 we realised that dr. dre's vision stucked on mud and skating... however this was the first eminem album entirely produced by dr. dre. if dr. dre had just a few songs (4 or 5) on relapse i think it would sound better. imagine that today eminem loses luis resto and stop working with the producers he worked lately and only relase an album produced by dre, it wouldnt work... it wouldnt work in 99 and 2000 too...
Oct 9, 2021 MTBMB A might be a classic. It's very good. Not side b, to me, and I don't look at them as one album. Can't release two separate albums a year apart and say they're one.
Oct 9, 2021 Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP, The Eminem Show, Relapse, Kamikaze. Five of them, five of theeeem.
