Feb 4, 2021 Since Shady, he has released 3 albums of diminishing returns that have become shorter and more cheaply made. His last album was mostly incredibly bitter, miserable and ignorantly homophobic. And lazy: One song was a bonus track from the last album 3 years prior, and another - the lead single - had verses from an even older song over a new beat. Obie takes around 3 years to release a record these days, so that strikes me as incredibly cheap. Outside of the music, it's a much worse picture. The guy is not doing well. I'm not having a dig either, Obie has one of my favourite voices in rap and I wish him the best. But I'm starting to suspect the guy who names his albums after drinking slang, who got dropped from Shady for being passed out drunk, and always seems to be in some sort of embarrassing drama, is an alcoholic.
