Jan 13, 2018 tbh if you read his lyrics nowadays (most of the time), they're very similar to how he used to write (Corny punchlines aside). The problem is with how he delivers them. He crams way too much into one line and the delivery makes the words have less of an impact cause he's always rushing through them.
Jan 13, 2018 Imagine modern Em conceiving Drug Ballad Even if he wrote the verse more or less the same there would be two or three s-----y punchlines and when he recorded the verse it would be full of beat stops pauses and flow changes/double timing
Jan 15, 2018 Deju vu overrated or not, imagine any artist having made 20 great songs like these above... the last 3 albums almost make you forget that. No matter how many s-----y albums he puts out more, I'll always want to listen to the next one afraid to miss out on something potentially great.
