Dec 26, 2017 There’s no way he loads this album up with a dozen pop stars if he wanted to intentionally flop. They expected this album to be a smash.
Dec 27, 2017 Why would they flop on album on purpose? Also the theory falls apart by the very fact there's so many unauthentic pop features / clear 'hit grabs' on there. If it was like a Relapse, you'd have more of a theory here. But when you feature Beyonce on your first single. Just 'because Bey'... then get every of the 100 pop stars to mention their features and post the album / a pic, like a planned marketing move... there's no intended flop going on.
Dec 27, 2017 There was no flop, you fools. There is not much people nowadays thats buying music on cd's. Everything is online right now, you know. Period. Smh...
Dec 27, 2017 Revival wasn't a flop as per industry standards, it only looks like a flop since Em has never sold anything below 500k ever since he became a star(He sold 283k with SSLP tho, but it was his debut). As much as I like this album, the music wasn't going to appeal to a huge variety of audience. Pop rap doesn't sell well in 2017. The Trump thing backfired. No matter who it was who suggested that Em go after Trump (maybe it was himself), was a dumbass. And all the heights of being a dumbass was crossed when he said f--- off to like almost half of his fans. Poor a--- promotion, Revival site that only could be decoded by us hardcore Stans didn't help either. Repetitive L's and lack of updates from Paul threw a lot of people off and they lost interest. Finally single choices were wack. Wow is great as a song, Untouchable is somewhat decent, but they aren't great choices for singles. No album is a flop intentionally, espicially when it comes to Em. Just wait for the next step he takes to fix it and see if he bounces back or not.
Dec 27, 2017 Yep just like all other flops are intentional. All those other businesses that intentionally sell less products and make less money than they'd like to agree as well
Dec 27, 2017 Nah, his next step will really decide if he can bounce back or not. I still feel like label interfference was to blame with the track listing and tracks we got. Denuan literally said what he made and recorded with EM was different to what we got and he doesnt even know, only em does and its not a longshot to say hes not allowed to talk about it.
Dec 27, 2017 No it ain't. Adele's CD went diamond from physical sales in about a year, that was 2015. This is definitely a flop for Eminem. Big one. Because it was predictable and people are tired of the pop formula exploitation for cash.
Dec 27, 2017 Yes. If this album was released in 2011 after recovery it would be a massive success. At that time people on youtube spend hours and hours making s-----y fake songs from marshall with some girl hook.
Dec 27, 2017 Walk On Water actually charted better at the start than Believe. Also there's no way he would've done a mill plus first week. 600k max even if he hyped it up good. He lost 80% with the Trump thing. Before you go in on the Trump thing I said, do your research. Majority of Eminem's US fans are redneck hillbillies who go "Trump's gonna build the wall this high" like in "The Storm".
Dec 27, 2017 You're grasping at straws at this point on why this flopped. Sure, they should've know the sales wouldn't be high with their chosen promotion, but no way was a low chart intentional.
Dec 27, 2017 You know it wasn't Beyonce, just because it's Beyonce. It's because it's an artist he respects and because it's the wife of someone he looks up to, that suggested to him that she sings it. Ed Sheeran is harder to defend, but knowing Em's history he probably listens to as well. Alicia Keys isn't big at all, she sure as h--- doesn't sell his album. I suspect Alicia Keys has something to do with her opinion on America/Trump. Pink.. i can't defend that. It's not that pop-feature heavy and they aren't overused or slapped on for the fact they are huge stars. If that was true, you'd think he'd go with artists that are younger and more popular. Ed Sheeran is the biggest "current" pop-star on the entire album.
Dec 27, 2017 Let's make things clear. a) no one intends for something to flop/make bad music b) river is disposable garbage and I don't know why people are making it out to be anything but
Dec 27, 2017 U are more delusional tho. U act like it has anything to do with being bad music ?? Lol. More than %50 of Em's sales are coming from US and they are very low compared to previous works, not other countries' sales. It's not about singles or bunch of haters finally get a chance to call the album trash and actually back it up like u did here. It's all about smh in US which I think related to the Trump incident...
Dec 27, 2017 Not even Em listens to half the album...it has to be intentional and quote me 2018 Em dropping something
