Jul 15, 2017 This thread has been done already for this coming album. Also, who f---in cares? Don't we all just want quality music with a good flow and actual content this time around? Score it a 45 for all I care.
Jul 15, 2017 74... Sounds about right. I think he's probably created a more consistent and coherent album than Recovery or MMLP2. But, we'll see. That will be one of the biggest factors - if it has a sound, a vision and surprising content. Can't see him ever cracking the 80s tbh. All first three albums deserve Kanye and Kendrick like Metascores and praise. Nothing after that deserves to be in the 80s, but 59 for Relapse is ridiculous. Recovery & MMLP2 ratings are fair and on-point.
Jul 15, 2017 His MMLP even got 78. Impossible for him to get 80 ever. Metacritic is being too critical about Eminem's albums.
Jul 15, 2017 Relapse - 59 Recovery - 63 MMLP2 - 72 (at least he's on the upswing) Honestly I'd be stoked if it's over 76, but for his legacy's sake it would be nice to break 80. I think a concept album is the only way that's possible at this point, he's played out everything else in his life. As a sidenote: Hndrxx - 78 More Life - 79 4:44 - 84 Run the Jewels 3 - 88 d--- - 95
Jul 16, 2017 As others said, MMLP an TES didn't even crack 80. This one will have to be God-like for them to give it an 80+ rating.
Jul 16, 2017 it will have to better than what many consider one of the best album(s) of all time. I think its impossible for him to crack 80. Critics dont like em
Jul 18, 2017 nothing above 80, because critics like pitchfork will give Em a score below 5, even if he releases an album as great as TES or MMLP. sad truth
