Jul 13, 2016 I'm not a Stan but I still consider myself a big fan of his. However, at this stage there is a very long list of people better than Em. Pretty much the whole of TDE for exemplar.
Jul 13, 2016 I don't like the style of Kendrick Lamar but yeah I'm a Stan. I would never bump Ken ever even when I'm alone or with someone else
Jul 13, 2016 Not a Stan but a big fan my fave Artist of all time and my fave albums and songs of all time are by him As far as straight up Rapping and Lyrically Jay Z Lupe Fiasco Nas Jay Electronica Common Big Krit Kendrick Lamar Common Talib Kweli J Cole Joel Ortiz Mos Def Andre 3000 Schoolboy Q Nipsey Hussle Lloyd Banks Crooked I Joe Budden Scarface Joey Badass Fabolous Busta Rhymes Jadakiss Royce Ghostface Pusha T Ludacris Hopsin Cormega T.I. Styles P Redman Tech 9 Just off the top of my head. There is more
Jul 13, 2016 Other rappers are boring. Eminem is still great. His verses on All I Think About are classic Shady.
Jul 13, 2016 What has thinking he is the greatest Artist of all time an opinion millions of other people share gotta do with not being a stan Because i can objectively admit Infinite, h--- The Sequel and Relapse are terrible albums. His choppy flow, his punchlines, his accent, his featured guest verses are terrible And i objectively named rappers lyrically better than him of the top of my head also admitting there is more than the ones i named
Jul 13, 2016 I love Eminem and probably always will but I only listen to him on occasion now. There's so much enjoyable music being made that being hung up on a single artist seems silly. I'll get in moods where I wanna hear super lyrical s--- I'll listen to Eminem. That mood might hit once a month though. I'll always be excited for new Eminem and anticipate his releases, but he is far from the days where everything he puts out is great.
Jul 18, 2016 So, you aren't a Stan because you can have an objective opinion about something as subjective as music? I don't listen to anything other than the radio nowadays, but I will say that I find Relapse and Infinite more listenable than Recovery. I'm not saying they're better, just that I enjoy them more. The only rapper I'd put in front of him currently is Kendrick. Possibly Lupe as well.
Jul 18, 2016 What makes someone a stan? Thinking Em is the GOAT? Well, then I'm a stan. But no, I don't think he is the best atm. Actually, I haven't found anyone who I like in this "new school". I've tried to listen to all the Kendricks and J Coles and what not, but they just aren't good imo. From old school rappers my other favourites are Nas, Biggie, Pun, Wu, Rakim etc. Jay Z and Tupac are also in the "not good" category for me. Don't know, that's just my 2cents...
Jul 19, 2016 I actually missed this thread. MMLP2 still had him on my goat list for the highlights (Groundhog Day , Bad Guy, Rap God), but it lacked the consistency of a GKMC. Em also lowered the standard a little with ShadyXV, which fell further for Southpaw even though his medicine man verse was beatiful and best friend was also dope. It's a thing where i know the skill set and depth in writing is still there but the songs have taken a wrong artistic direction recently, it's just whether or not he still has the formula for putting an album together without doing what MMLP2 did and hid goat highlights among songs like so much better. I would say Kendrick is king until the god returns, but Kanye sounding dope. I want to say Wayne.....but C5 taking too long to drop. Deez n----- tryna. My laptop is broke now so my music listening has bee sharply halted, but from when i did have it i remember bumping Kendrick the most.
Jul 19, 2016 Although i personally LIKE yelawolf more because his style is more unique, but that's just me.
