Fightful.com is reporting the finish of the Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins match at h--- in a Cell was reportedly a Vince McMahon call and "his sight and vision played out how he wanted it" according to people backstage. There was apparently one person that even said Vince was laughing at how fans reacted to the ending.

The general backstage reaction to the finish was said to be largely negative from talent and employees of WWE.

A video from the match (not the finish) has 2.3K likes vs. 9.6K dislikes as of this writing.

as someone who was at the show tonight, i'm kinda pissed off tbh if this is true and Vince was actually laughing. I'm also sad though cuz it's just hopeless if so, WWE will never learn their lesson. honestly I enjoyed the show, thought Banks Becky was great and the card was good overall till the main event finish, but still that was stupid enough to leave a poor taste in my mouth bout the whole d--- show/my trip there. I don't even wanna go the rumble at this point but already bought my d--- ticket, might end up selling it lol..

it's just depressing cuz I think the fiend slowly fizzles out now, fans will just stop caring as much..he was SO d--- hot too, like I dunno if anyone's been that hot since Bryan around Mania 30.

Yeah I went to Royal Rumble 2012 and even though most people s--- on the event I had the time of my life. I remember Sheamus winning shocking all of us because it seemed like a lock that Jericho was going to win

Bischoff running Smackdown on Fox is insanity...I've seen him on the Starrcast live shows the last two years and the man couldn't even stop slurring his words for an hour long live podcast. This is going to be a disaster lol

Idk if Paul, since he's already there, had first choice on which show to run but I could totally see him, the evil genius that he is, picking Raw- knowing full well it's safe on USA and being the fall guy for SD on Fox is a death sentence.

I really hope this means they go back to a hard brand split and do away with this wild card bs. What would be the point of having Paul in charge on one show and Eric in charge of the other if the shows are still going to use all the same talent and storylines?

Wtf has she even done so far on the main roster? I don’t know if she was great in NXT or anything but since she was called up she just interrupted matches and had like one match.

How can she be better than Alexa, Banks, Charlotte, Becky and a couple others just based off that?? Those other 4 have been in a lot of great feuds/matches/moments over the years.

The product is unfathomably bad.

MITB should be good, but they're hot shotting a lot of feuds to try to stop this decline. A guy I work with has told me numerous times that AJ/Seth is the biggest match he could want, but he's on the verge of quitting wrestling and couldn't care less. Neither can I.

It's really sad. I feel like this Fox thing is the Hail Mary. I heard HHH liked a tweet where someone hoped Vince steps back and let's him take over for it. The product would be better and it'd be huge news, could bring some people back.

I hate complaining about them bringing up good guys from NXT but man, they did it in literally the most boring way possible. They announced them all at the beginning of the show (no surprises to pop fans) and had them work in basic matches (no story).

f---, DIY were suddenly fully back together and babyfaces on Raw anyway so they might as well brought all four of them in together as a group and done a mini invasion type deal. At least that would have been a story and given them something interesting to BUILD ON

They seriously amaze me with how bland they do stuff these days...then they’re shocked when guys right and left want to leave and the biggest free agents in years didn’t want to come

It's so true man. And even worse they brainwash them into believing all of the Triple H/Kevin Nash ways to think about the business:
Wins and losses don't matter, the fans are all marks and don't know s---, WWE is the only place that matters, you have to run "our" playbook...it's gross.

There aren’t enough talented women on the roster to have another division , let alone a division that requires at least four people. s--- is gonna blow up in their face— but I mean it’s not like they care, they trot out women that don’t know how to wrestle every week anyway so nothing new

And I agree with Kon, I’m sure they’ll have those lame team names that WWE has been using this decade , and it’ll be even more cringeworthy because it’s the women. Also there will be more of them, because the roster of capable women is so small they’ll be matching women together like crazy

Just another thing I have no interest in...pick your poison. A tag division full of Lana’s and Liv morgan’s trying to put together functional matches or put Sasha, Charlotte and Bayley etc in the tag division and have to water your main title down with Mandy roses and s---

Sasha and Bayley should not only win the women's tag titles, but they should hold them for a long time. Riott squad's not bad but besides that, who else could even win them? Lol, also these tag titles mean we're gonna get all kinds of random teams over the years, 1 random person teaming with another random person and combining their names to make it 'sound cool', ugh it's gonna s--- tbh. I hate that s---.

Even worse is the idea that they're probably gonna have them on both shows, it's gonna be a mess. Oh well I don't really care much either way I guess, the titles will often be ignored and hardly even thought of..but it will add a bunch of useless/boring match ups and feuds.
