Not saying I expect them to fail cuz I dunno what will happen but big next 2 games just like the next 2 are big for Minnesota too. Should know which of those teams is ‘more legit’ and playoff ready at that point imo.

You really think they’re gonna move on from Bortles with the season they’re having? I mean, Eli & Bortles are playing just as good as each other this season practically. Even if they draft another QB, it’s probably better to stick with the guy that knows the system.

Also Bortles has nothing to do with the season they're having, it's the defense & Fournette (when he's out there)

Like it. No reason not to start him if Kyle feels he's far enough in learning the playbook. He's supposed to be the future, so let's see what he can do this year. I know some are saying to sit him because he'll get killed behind that offensive line. But a good QB can hide bad Oline play. Jimmy G has accuracy and more importantly with bad Oline, he has a super quick release and pocket presence. I'm not concerned about him getting hurt. I'm excited to see many things. Kyles come a long way the last 5 weeks as a HC. He's juggling being a first time HC and the OC. It takes time to get acclimated to that new role. His offense is complex but works. There have been a ton of great play calling that Hoyer and CJ Beathard just plain missed. Either made the right read but in accurate throws, or made the wrong read and missed an open guy. Jimmy has accuracy to hit those guys. Hoping he has the playbook down enough to know where to look.

I don't expect to see him come out and light it up this week or any game for the rest of the season. I'm hoping to see flashes though. I expect some missed reads, and broken/miscommunicated plays. But what I'm looking for is does he know where his WRs are supposed to be? Does he know his check downs when the pressure breaks through, because it will. When he reads the coverage correctly and makes the correct read, can he deliver the pass. I just want to see some flashes so I can have some hope for next year and going forward.

For the record, I'm a Jimmy G believer. I think he has a safe floor with an incredible high ceiling. I think he can be a superstar QB in this league with Kyle Shanahan more than another a bust ex pats QB like Matt Cassell. $100 million in cap space, plus a top 5 draft pick has me looking forward to the end of this season. This was always a rebuild season to get rid of the stank Baalke left us in. The real Lynch and Shanahan era starts Sunday with Jimmy leading the franchise to better days.

I read this and somehow missed the ‘holding’ part at first and was thinking how the f---s that possible lol.

But yeah still very odd. Cowboys/Skins is an interesting game this week cuz whoever loses is all but done and whoever wins could still get back in it technically.

He's a very average QB, his stats are actually below average in a lot of categories, but the fact that he has 2 SB's - he'll get in eventually.

I am excited. I plan on being stressed tonight (as I have been watching the Boys the last three weeks).
Looking ahead at our schedule, it's very possible we can win out, and it's possible that we end up 8-8 and miss the playoffs. If we're gonna run the table, it has to start tonight, and it can. Hoping it will.
